Rating 9/10
Best Hip Hop release of 2007...and one of the most important CDs for me.
Not A Bad List, although in my opinion "Gotta Eat" is one of the best lyrical songs. I don't mean the most impactful, or powerful but one of the best displays of creative writing (lyrics don't necessarily need to be deep). Other then that good review (ugh, i mean list) :).
ReplyDeletePS: I love the site great job so far :)
yo i like the site man. granted i dont narrow lupe's songs down to like/dislike (except in rare situations where something sucks), they jus all good, but u do a nice job.
ReplyDeletepersonally i find put you on game ill.. crazy flow: he never stops for a hook in it. the "put you on game" chant is like gold watch's background noise... i channel it out and enjoy. more like a freestyle ya dig? plus it appeals to the part of me that still loves the hood muzik, jus with a touch of intellect.
i agree w the guy above me about gotta eat lol
its all taste and opinion though
peace. again, love the blog
