My name is Kibla, I'm 26 years old & I just realised there are not enough hours in the day as you grow older. I’m from the north side of London. As you can see I’ve got a passion for art & photography.. Ever since I saw my uncle do what he could do on plain piece of paper, it made me want to do the same thing and push art to the next level. The artist Jim Lee is also a massive inspiration to me. Jim Lee was an artist for marvel comics and his vision in the way he created the X-Men was out of this world. I do a variety of work from photography to computer art graphics, using programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Quark. About 6-7 years since college & uni days doing flyers and other artwork for people till I got to university and started charging for my work mostly flyers & themed. Since then it has grown from doing photography working with other artists and clothing over the years as things change my art has changed too, to adapt to every style to create an urban retro look.
When it comes to music, I grew up on hip hop, but I’m pretty much into everything. When Lupe came out with his mixtape I knew he'd be big, his hip hop is on a level I can put on the top shelf with artist like 2pac, Biggie RIP, Nas and Jay Z. His music inspires me when I’m on the late shift working on projects.
His music is out of this world, his flow, the artist he’s worked with and his own artwork. I think over the past couple of years hip hop hasn't been at its best and I been listening to a lot of old skool stuff. When he came out with Food and Liquor, I said he brought back hip hop again And when it comes to fashion damn he got the exclusives lol. If I had the opportunity to work on artist albums, I’m not fussy- I’d work with anyone.
Make sure you check out more of his work on:
