man soulfull vibes... I'm so sick of people saying "X is killing hip hop... or You don't know hip hop cause you support X, or w/e" Hip Hop is not one style. There are so many sides to it. Soulja Was great club music and he had a fun dance, it was fun, what's wrong with that. I agree with Lupe, not all hip hop has to be lyracle and meaningful it's about how it makes you feel.

ReplyDeleteI was at a party, and they played like the first tracks off Soulja Boy's album; surprisingly, it made me gain respect for him. What you realize is that there is NO intention of being GOAT or even claims of it like Lil Wayne makes. It's seventeen year old fun PARTY music. So I don't knock him for that.. he could be out selling drugs or tryna prove himself in a gang... but when music loses all of its creativity... when ALL you hear is this crunk shit and the only images my little cousins see of females in hiphop are video hoes (to his credit, soulja boy is pretty safe here) and every line is hoe this hoe that (DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT SUPAMAN MEANS??).. THAT IS NOT HIPHOP.
