A Genius Lu' Volume 9

This one comes from Intruder Alert...
one of the slowest songs on The Cool, but also one of the most complex.

"He's checking water
making sure it's safe enough for his daughter to float across in
the boat he built hopefully strong enough to support her,
praying border patrols don't catch her and process and deport her
before she reach the shore of the land of the free
where they feed you,
treat you like equals,
deceive you,
stamp you,
and call you illegal..."

  2. that makes a lot of sense. U know coming from a person who doesn't listen to lupe that often I really like these parts of songs. I looked up all 9 quotes and they're all dope. You guys made me expand my music horizon a lot more. Nd I thank you for that. Long live the lu

  3. Aww, I'm glad. If you like this quote, you probably would like Little Weapon, Hurt Me Soul, and American Terrorist.Including Intruder Alert, these are probably Lupe's most political songs.
