wait fam, so ur saying that a black man being elected president, and race being regarded as an irrelavant factor in the decision process isn't one of the greatest moments in history? wow you're stupid
AND the "press" which is actually referred to as media, get smart buddy, won't "turn" on him. That's stupid. They never bought the "hype" as you call it. He was a better choice, and they'll hold him to the same standards as every other pol.
i'm english btw. so thereforei press is good enough.
Mccain is a patriotic old man. I do prefer obama. secondly, race was not irrelevant - just because he won doesnt mean it was irrelevant -
"The poll by the Washington-based think tank found that 84 percent of African-Americans prefer Sen. Obama over GOP nominee McCain, who was chosen by 6 percent of respondents during a survey of 750 adults taken Sept. 16-Oct. 6."
An achievement yes, irrelvant factor no.
A woman president would have been just as much of an achievement if not more.
I'm not saying he wont be good, theres just only so much he can do
its more my dislike towards the whole usa election system tbh, it's 2 party, and much of it seems to be patriotic crap rather than 'will you set taxes high and spen d on education or keep taxesow' for a basic example.
ALL women were never slaves, 3/5 of a human or sent to separate schools and lunch counters (40 years ago). There is absolutely nothing you can ever say or offer as evidence that a woman president would have been ANYWHERE NEAR the significance of a black president.
Point 2. Don't quote wrong facts. It was 95% of black people that supported Obama. BUT it was also 43% of white people, which is almost half. RACE WAS AN IRRELEVANT FACTOR. In every exit poll it was 2nd to last out of 21 things that people were asked to rank. Economy was first. Race was almost dead last. Read a newspaper, watch a news program. Race was regarded as a virtually irrelevant factor in this election. Achievement.
The fact is that you are absolutely wrong. There will never be a bigger moment in United States history. Period. Politically, socially or otherwise. Adding to the significance is the fact that he came from a single mother home, middle class and rose to the highest station in America.
But hey way to be wrong. I guess in your eyes its not a big deal when something that Noone thought could happen does.
and to dude above...obamanation - unclever pun...whack
also - its not the systems fault that the smaller parties don't have substantial bases. tell them to get on their job. Also, if you watched any debate or commercial, this election was ENTIRELY about issues, not "patriotic crap" as you called it.

91% and 92% of Blacks voted for Al Gore and John Kerry. Blacks tend to vote democratic in the United States by overwhelming numbers.. they would have voted Demoocrat despite race.
Republican Black Candidates have never made it past the primaries.
YES...and dude is wrong as shit. You right about Black people always voting (D). Therein lies my point. Obama being black had absolutely nothing to do with his election. He happened to be black, which is a very big deal.
and imwfc whatever ur name is...no, being english doesnt excuse you saying press. Press is print. Media is ALL. Learn fam. The word press implies that a printing process was employed.
i typed a replay earlier, but it went. maybe i was wrong about the amount influence of being black had. however - "one of the greatest moments in the history of the world" is a optimistic hopefull statement. you said it's irrelevant, and i didn't mean about a black man being president. i meant about obama - he has a good campaign, different to bush, he's not president yet. A good moment in american history maybe.
about press and media, i'm very sorry. obamanation i was trying to lighten the mood....
no. america = strongest and most influential nation in the world with a history of terrible treatment of black people. So...I'd say a black person being elected president is pretty damn important. GLOBALLY. It's similar to the end of slavery, the free trade, and the invention of the car...
one of the greatest moments in the history of the world is not optimistic or hopeful. If Obama had a terrible presidency, and fucked us worse than Bush, the fact that a black man transcended all odds and broke a racial barrier/glass ceiling is historically important.
you didnt compare obama being elected to the abolition of slavery did you? although america is the sstrongest and most influational nation for the next few years. the world does not form their opinions of race on who the maericans choose as presdent, believe it or not, they have they're own opinions and problems
I wish Obama could start work tomorrow...lol
ReplyDeleteman think about how lucky we are....:)
ReplyDeletewe just witnessed one of the greatest moments in the history of the world :)
and theres nobody that can take it from him, haha its gonna be funny to see bush in public in january when Barack Obama becomes our president!
Celebrate! yeah man this is too great haha in Washington DC mccain only had 8% lol
Yea man, Obama had like 338 electoral votes while McCain had around 156... he just gave up. lol
ReplyDeleteFinally, change we can believe in.
All we at Fame's Allure can say right now is dreams are real. Everyone should have a dream and stop at nothing to make your dream come true.
ReplyDeleteYAYYYYYYY! :D
ReplyDelete"we just witnessed one of the greatest moments in the history of the world :)"
ReplyDeletenot really - he can't walk on water.
I'll give him 2 years until the press turn on him. Their criticism will be that he doesnt deliver on the promise of change and hype
^^you wanted mccain to win huh? smh. dont lose faith that fast son
