Eid Mubarak to all of our Muslim readers, and of course, Mr. Fiasco himself.
Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, is a holiday for Muslims across the world to celebrate submission and obedience to God. This is captured in one of the stories of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and his willingness to sacrifice his own son, Prophet Ismael (pbuh), at God's request.
According to the Quran, both Ibrahim and Ismael submitted to God’s request, and just as the sacrifice was about to take place, God intervened and provided a lamb as the sacrifice instead. The family had passed another one of the many tests of their obedience. Muslims around the world celebrate today with prayer and the sacrifice of a lamb (if they have means). The feast is shared with friends, family, and the less fortunate.

Kul sana wa intu bekhair.
(A common holiday greeting.. loosely, "Hoping all of your years are well.")
Thank you for that wonderful Acknowledgment. May Allah (God All Mighty) Bless you, Mr. Lupe The Fiasco, and all the readers and fans
