A Letter From Demarco Castle (GemStones)

Hello world. My name is Demarco Castle. You all might have known me as Gemini or Gemstones. This is just a little letter in regards to all the chatter and speculation. I would 1st like to start by saying... I've found Christ or shall I say Christ found me... Because it wasn't him that was lost... It was me, LOL!

I don't expect most of you guys to understand or even begin to fathom what has taking place. If you don't have the spiritual wisdom to discern certain things, for this would be looked at to you as FOOLISHNESS because you're still leaning on your own understanding!

Am I a rapper? No. I now consider myself a messenger of Christ / a servant of the lord! And for the rest of my journey this talent which is not mine that God has given me will be used to help save lost souls.

  1. anonymous above me, thats a very ignorant comment. but with tha being said, you have to respect this man decision to stay true to his deepest beliefs. Every rapper who is influenced heavily by religion like Gem is gonna have that back and forth tug on wheather they music is staying true to wht they believe in. I think Gem coulda keep going on and keep making his music more positive cuz it was inspiring on the second mixtape to see a dude come clean and step away from the negativity in hip hop. But reguardless its always inspring to see him take to step to completly dedicate his talents to the lord, and imma continue to be a fan with the gospel cuz the ablity is still there and i respect him 100%. So its a bitter-sweet moment but there hopefully is still more to come...

  2. there's a difference between going clean and "I've found Christ." I hope he doesn't force it into his music too much. Stay balanced.

  4. naab, he is doing gospel from now on. so on his songs he will be saying "ive found christ". But i hope lupe and gem come out with a video addressing the fans with wht is going to go on from here on out. If gem is still on FNF and whtever else needs to be said.

  5. Have you ever listened to Christian rappers? they ain't bad amigo. They still have the same flow, their messages are unanimously good (be it a preach sort of song or simply a live your life by these good words of wisdom sort) and many don't forgo the "street" power behind it.

Besides, what's so bad about NOT rapping about hoes n shit?

  6. there's a difference between clean and gospel, as we've said. Lupe is clean, but not in a preachy way. I'm saying that if Gemstones has Jesus in every song, then he's lost me as a fan.

  9. Wan't he supposed to have an album coming out soon??? Awwww I guess we're never gonna see that. :( This is soo random. All of a sudden he's going Gospel? Oh well, he was a good rapper.

  10. I'm not gonna fault him for deciding to go Gospel, the only thing I'm upset about is Troubles of the World, patiently waitin since '07 and now this happens.
