A lot of people find these ill witty ways to rap, but when you speak to them there’s ignorance and no type of common sense, just blandness. It’s important to be true to yourself on all levels; don’t talk about something you don’t know about.
When I listen to someone like Lupe Fiasco, I think, “This dude is so smart,” and when I met him I thought, “Man, this dude is so smart!” He speaks very intelligently and he’s actually intelligent in person.

ReplyDeleteI can agree with "don't talk about something you don't know about". But if he had said "don't talk about it if you ain't live it" then I couldn't agree with that. Reason being, just because I haven't lived through an experience(not a shameless propaYne plug), I may still understand and know about it.

ReplyDeletei wouldnt put it past him. yes its very important to be true to yourself, i wish there was a god that all "RAPPERS" had to submit to. either pass or fail. the industry would be so different. same rule applies to these up and coming rappers. but i know some people be on some other shit when it comes to rapping, everyone doesn't talk or speak on the same subject(s) some just want their voice heard, and only the best reach for success others just lay low and *cough local *cough

ReplyDeleteLupe's problem wasn't about choosing for yourself or knowing facts. It was that HIS facts were completely false. The reasons he gave for supporting hillary clinton were falsehoods, like that Obama is an Israel ally but she isn't. That statement in itself was a failure of epic proportions.
