no dino, mickey and gunz aren't missing. asher, drake, wale and charles shouldn't have EVER been placed on that list.
ReplyDeleteI'll leave the whack ass niggas like Plies and Ross to another point, at least they are established. How are there people on a list for best rapper EVER and they don't even have albums? That list is ridiculous. Vibe's track record for making lists has been pretty damn bad. (Kanye's the #2 hip hop blog? Nigga posts boats and cribs, not hip hop)
The main point is that this list is a joke. A giant joke. Lupe is better than 93.4% of this list, and half of this list is unproven and the other half sucks. Rev Run? are you serious?!

ReplyDeleteI must say I agree with S-Preme on this. That list is pretty much a huge slap in the face to a lot of established pioneers to be mentioned with freshmen as best rapper ever. And I like most of the freshmen for the most part. Lupe told the world not to vote for him once before, I'm sure they deliberately left him out.

devin, its not just you... some names are definitely in bold but idk what that means cuz Jay-Z and Cam'ron are both bolded. while Jay is a rapper, Cam raps as a 1st grader does: effn rootie tootie fruity ass. smh

ReplyDeletemy opinion on the XXL Freshman: Either have all of them on the list or none of them.. but as you can see from the list, it stretches back as far as Grandmaster Caz, melle mel, etc... and goes as recent as Asher Roth... therefore they should have included EVERYONE.. and I mean everyone, whether you think they deserve it or not

Also the top 50 blog list was BS too... I mean the last 20 or so blogs on the list, I never even heard about... Vibe just hates Lupe now... my theory LOL!!!
