Ian Astbury x Lupe Fiasco
While talking about his upcoming projects with Billboard.com, Ian Astbury (the lead singer of The Cult) revealed that he has been in the studio with Lupe Fiasco.
When asked about the collabo, Astbury told Billboard: "It's a work in progress based on a mutual affection of Japanese street culture."

damn whats going on with lupe now making a lot of tracks with people now. and SEANTHEROBOT YOUR THE BEST AT POSTING.
ReplyDeleteHey, You have to realize that their are two people making track now;
ReplyDelete1. Lupe Fiasco aka Lu aka Little Lu aka Lu tha Underdog
2. Pervical Fats
haha
"mutual appreciation of japanese culture"....
ReplyDeletespecifically cartoons?
Ian Astbury sings for Unkle, which collaborated with Lu on his song Hello/Goodbye, so It wouldn't be a stretch in saying that they are working on a rock track for Japanese Cartoon
ReplyDelete@Ram nice deduction I find the Japanese Cartoon album shaping up very nicely haha I'm very excited for both Lu's and Percival's Albums
ReplyDeleteIan Astbury is not the singer of Unkle although he did a collab with Unkle on few songs...
ReplyDeleteand yea I don't believe Lupe would make such a huge collab be a part of JC... I think it's much more likely seeing this collab on Lupe's album or maybe some future Astbury stuff... who knows...
And yea in my mind this kinda makes up for the news about Lupe collabing with Soulja Boy...
btw...this is the perfect opportunity to bring the whole "AMAJANESE" thing up again...
ReplyDeletelol
no it is not seantherobot you better know what your talking about please.
ReplyDeleteso what if lupe works with soulja boy? maybe its a remix, hell, Jadakiss Mano and Wayne hopped on the "turn my swag on" remix and its not that bad
