Good thing they didn't take measurements of the Lupe show.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is... sound drops in level at 6dB per doubling of distance.
If you start at 25 feet from the speaker then move to 50 feet back you will have a 6dB drop.
If you move from 50 feet to 100 feet you will have a 6dB more drop.
If you move from 500 feet to 1000 feet, you will have another 6dB drop in level.
So where you measure from really makes a difference. They measured Hey Champ at the speaker, so it's really not saying much.
