Matthew x Twitter
3 days ago CMP reported that Matthew told them he'd perform with Lupe @ the Congress Theater in Chicago on October 29th.
Shortly after we put the info up on here Matthew replied to us via Twitter and said that he actually never made that statement but he'd ask the boss about it. Well...you can see how things turned out in the tweet posted above...
I don't want to say too much and I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but Yo!...Lupe & Matthew, I do know that a lot of people would like to see you guys perform together again and they'd especially like to see you perform "Shining Down"...so, maybe this could be reconsidered...

ReplyDeleteI heard that they put a lot of money for the show so it could be big... and don't forget that this is a retrospective of Lupe.. Chicago will have old joints with new ones so what would it be without Matthew...

isnt Matthew signed to Lupe's 1st and 15th label? is that how MS's upcoming album is going to be released?
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is any beef, and I really hope that Lupe is messing with us and that Matthew will perform.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely be disappointed if they do not perform together. I know that Lupe is a cool and humble person, but it might be possible that the fame has gotten to his head.. a little bit.
It would be selfish on Lupe's part for not letting Matthew perform even if the event was a retrospective of himself. Matt was the other half of Lupe's most popular song to date and it would be a shame if he didn't perform.
lupe is such a piece of garbage. This is why none of the acts he's "signed" go anywhere.

ReplyDeletefuck. both of them live are absolutely amazing, really hoping someone changes their mind about this. and hopefully we're still going to be seeing more lupe/matt collabs in the future..
ReplyDeleteI'm supporting Matthew no matter what happens; his voice and his music are both hauntingly beautiful..I can't wait for his album to drop soon!
