Lupe Fiasco - “Enemy of the State: A Love Story” Mixtape [XXL's Review]

Though it clocks in at just over 22 minutes long, Lupe Fiasco’s Enemy of the State: A Love Story, proves that the Chicago MC has returned from his self- imposed hiatus—this is his first release since 2007’s sophomore effort, The Cool—with a renewed confidence...

  3. Enemy of the State: A Love Story is just a taste of what this dude has in store for us. [PURE GENIUS]. His next album is pretty much guaranteed success, and I expect nothing less than!
I've watched Lu grow over the past few years and he's gotten REALLL beastly, to say the least.
He's amazing to watch, and such a beautiful creature!
    :)
I'm mad excited for what's next to come!
    :DDD

    ALL LOVE,
    xoxo

  4. I think Lupe Needs some solid collaborations with some high profile rappers, and singers.

Let's face it... another swagger like us with Lupe and 2-3 other guys would sell him to the masses

That was one of the worst "articles" I have ever read on a website that is suppose to be professional. So much hate, ignorance, and racism mixed into one. Awful.

  6. Thanks for the update Sean, but I must admit, this review sucked, for real. It wasn't even a review; the writer pretty much just said it was a great mixtape and mentioned a few tracks, and then quoted Lupe 1 or twice. That's it. It was also too short, definitely showing that no analysis was made in there.

Now, I don't want the writer to praise Lupe for the tape, or say that he's the future of Hip-Hop (Which I do think so, but only 'cuase I'm a fan), but if this is considered a review from a professional magazine, then something is wrong.

  10. It seems like Lupe didn't like the P.D. beat as much as the other ones...

    "Wind it down but..."
^^ Like he isn't as hyped anymore.

"Do this for the block and the blogosphere..."
^^ He did it for the fans.

    Still dope nonetheless. =P
