The track "I'm Beaming" that was leaked last night was NOT authorized or intentionally leaked by myself or my company.
Plain and simple its STOLEN property. And this goes for ANY record or track that leaks or is made available for illegal download from this day forward.
Actions are being taken and the authorities have been notified.
As a personal plea to all my fans PLEASE DO NOT share, stream, or download any unauthorized or stolen Lupe Fiasco music.
A lot of time and energy goes into the creation of this music, not to mention large sums of money, money provided by my record company as well as from my own personal finances.
My music is the product of my life. It means so much to me. I take pride in it and i also take pride in how it changes peoples lives and gives them hope. So to see it treated in this manner really numbs the soul.
So many of my family and friends rely on me for their well-being and I rely on my music to give me the opportunities that allow me to provide for them.

After all, these artists put their money, time, and effort into these projects, and I am grateful for all that they do, but we as fans deserve more than these pointless delays. If an artist reserves a date in advance (even, in QuESt’s case, naming an entire mixtape after the release date for his project), they better make sure that they can finish their work before that date. Don’t build anticipation only to let down your fans. If it will be done by Christmas then release it on Christmas. If there is even a slight chance that it won’t be done by Christmas, then don’t promise it on Christmas. Your fans will be just as excited to hear new material from you on the 26th, the 27th, or whenever. Release it in January if you have to, just make sure that it is of the quality that your fans have come to expect. In the future, all artists should know to announce release dates that are manageable and reasonable.
