    I've always interpreted the lyrics as, "Deliver like river," and "'til I brought the rocking to your ships." ...Sticking with the nautical theme and such.

    and i think he's using a double entendre on 'brought the Roc/ Rocking'-Cause who did he have on this song? and co produce his album? Jay-Z, Rocafella.....

    this is dope right here. he's saying he lived and went thru the same gangsta and hood ish every other rapper raps about. "how you think i got here? that's the same game that came through where i lived as a kid in the bad luck truck and threw boxes off the back" shit toughened him up. "made me a ripper." improved his craft and rap content. but he dont rap about it, he tries to uplift even tho he's lived that same negativity. "and they said oil and water don't mix..." illll.
