April 20th, 2010 - Peoria Civic Center Theatre - Peoria, IL
After performing 3 songs in Peoria, IL yesterday, Lupe decides to address the crowd to tell them that it doesn't seem like they have fun...so he starts the whole show over...More videos from the show can be found HERE
What's up with these whack crowds lately?
ReplyDeleteMan, the intro of Shining Down is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on with these midwest crowds??
ReplyDeleteYou all should be the hypest!
How lovely of them to start the show over!
A fresh start is always a great start, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down..
TWO THUMBS UPPP!

Bein from Chi Town and having attended quite a few concerts...I just have to say that it's these suburban crowds that are disappointing. Filled with a buncha 'cool guys' that think it's wack to go crazy at these concerts. I went to Jay Z concert down in Champaign that was pretty wack (talking about the crowd). Same concert in Chicago was absolutely nuts. #justsayin
ReplyDeletedont know about other midwest cities but Detroit loved Lupe. i have agree about suburban crowds being less live.
ReplyDeleteLovin the shining down opener..
I took this video, and he had to do the same during go go gadget flow, there was 2 dudes in front of me who slepted through the ENTIRE show, even b.o.b's set, and 2 girls next to me who sta down half way through and plugged their ears cause it was too loud... its a fucking concert wtf u expect? I think they were getting mad at me cause i was actually jumping around and singing the lyrcs and actually enjoying the concert...
ReplyDeleteLike ChiTown Guevara I was at this show and the Jay-Z one down in Champaign and both crowds were terrible. You could tell that Lupe wasn't feelin it from the start. He kept lookin at his band instead of the crowd.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first Lupe show and it won't be my last. I just hope in the next one the crowd won't be so disappointing and will be filled with people who actually enjoy Lupe and his music.
man i wanted to go so bad.... Shame i missd this 1.
ReplyDeleteI was at this show and if u pay attention he kept messing with his ear piece in the first three songs..... i dont believe he could hear himself ..... i think he just did this as a way to get even hype-er while they fixed his ear piece ... i know my section was goin nuts so i i kno felt us .... but he absolutely KILLED THIS SHIT!
ReplyDeletedamn the intro to shining down is epic i wish lupe would make a live version of the album
ReplyDeleteand i wish there was a good quality vesion of the vid the whole thing was epic
ReplyDeleteI have been to three lupe concerts..including the Chicago one on Halloween & I didn't think the crowd was whack...the sound was...but everyone around me was singing along going crazy
ReplyDeleteIts because Bishop G isnt on tour with him!! lol
ReplyDeleteWooow the crowd had to be really disappointing for him to start the whole show over... whats going on with the Midwest? You'd think they'd be the most energetic crowd...
ReplyDeleteHow far into the show were they before it started over?
ReplyDelete^^ he'd already done 3 songs
ReplyDeleteThe crowd was wack prolly because it was hosted by a school so most people there weren't fans who just went because the school hosted it.
ReplyDeleteill somewhat agree with quan i go to Eastern Illinois Univeristy which is 2 hours south of Bradley but i still made the trip being a big lupe fan, and my friend who goes to Bradley bought me tickets cause it was 5 bucks for her which is really cheap so a lot of students probably though oh sweet 5 bucks for a concert with that guy who sings superstar... i know the girl that bought me the tickets only knew 3 songs, superstar, HHSML, and Daydreamin...
ReplyDeletei was unimpressed by the crowd, so surely he was too. i laughed a lil when he restarted the show after addressing the crowd cuz i kinda felt that he would say something about it...
ReplyDeleteanywhoo, it was a good concert overall [on lupe's part] cuz he's such a great performer. but, Alex's comment about the $5 tickets just explained a lot as to why the crowd was so confused.
co-sign tideaux, super dope intro.
