^In reality there was no point for a promo just 4 shows before the tour ends. Promos are usually done before tour or during. Not when it's ending.
However, the use of this promo could be to attract as mcuh people as possible for Lupe to finally announce the release date/month, not becuase of the tickets. This is becuase Lupe shows are always sold out.
I really don't think they did this video to attract people the day of the announcement of the release date... First, we don't know if he will do it on stage (even though the highest possibility is tonight during the Vegas show) But second as you say, they didn't need it before, cause most of the shows were sold out, which is not the case for the upcoming ones and third, the tour will not stop when Lupe's done with the US, well I hope at least...
What exactly is the point of it when the tour is over next week? Cool video though.
