  3. Not even gonna ask him about a Lasers release date? Weak interview, hopefully part two is better.

  4. Who hasn't asked him about the release date? I don't see how you don't understand by now that he simply doesn't have that shit right now.

  8. This interview is pathetic.

We already know everything he said in here. I wasn't hoping for a release date question, or anything related, because Lasers ain't coming out anyway.

But what's the point of the interview if he just said the same thing over again.

I hoped for a more interesting/personal interview. We are supposedly fans of Lupe, but hell, we don't know shit about the dude...

  10. He needs to get over that F&L leak situation. He talks about it so bitterly. Does he honestly think 900,000 people would have PAID for F&L when it first came out? Each DL does not translate to a sale automatically. smh...

  11. I am a huge Lupe fan, I check this site a few times a week but never felt the need to write something, until now.

I hated this interview. I, and probably most anyone reading this loves Lu for his originality and his passion for incredible music. I remember hearing a song (Happy Industries with lyrics such as:

"Just having fun not chasing cash
Apologize now if it make you mad"

    After hearing this:
"when it comes to the point where its takin money out your pocket, its tearin you down" during the interview, I came to the unforunate realization that maybe Lu isnt different and/or he has conformed to the industry. I really hated hearing this...I hope his attitude changes because no matter how great his music is and will be, I dont want to listen to another angry rapper which this interview clearly portrayed.

Come on Lu...you're better than this

  12. ^^^ the man makes his bread and butter off his music... its his livelihood and his job. its not a sin to want to be compensated for his art. that being said, lupe makes good music so i rock with him. man hiphop's the only genre where the musician's personality is such a big factor to the fans. like if Bach was the worst most unpersonable asshole on earth, people would still listen to his symphonies CUZ ITS GOOD MUSIC... y'all need to separate the music from the person

anyways, dope interview. great that he touched on hypebeast.com since i remember lu being one of the only ones with a blog on the site back when it was first starting up and him shouting out kevin ma on a few of his mixtape tracks.. its really dope to have seen it flourish.

wonder what part 2's gonna be about?

  13. oh, get over yourselves. he's not some sort of super human being, that can somehow survive without money...

    can't blame him.

  14. if this nigga starts makin people BUY his mixtapes then ima lose alot of respect for him...

lupe you my fav rapper of all time but please dont turn salty man, leakin aint cool but just think of the support u got from us real fans and its all love...

  15. I really hope Lu reads this blog cuz he's got
really outspoken fans nd should appreciate us.
Guys I'm sure he'll come out of this "angry"
stage cuz he always says that we helped him
get through his suicidal stage. So no worries
I think he'll be okay. We are Lasers.

  17. Some of you need to chill

Making music is his JOB. Lupe loves his job, we know that. But how would you feel if you worked your ass off for 48 hours-a-week (doing what ever; working in a warehouse, shop, cleaning etc) only to find that your pay check at the end of the month is half of what you expected; yet there's NOTHING you can do about it.

How would you feel? Of course you'd be upset and bitter about it. This is the same situation artists go through in the music industry.
