And it had to happen a week before Fiasco Friday.. Atlantic got exposed bigtime.. They probably respect Wasalu and his fans now.. Video's of support, constant calls and emails to Atlantic, online petition, fiasco friday, possible documentary, bad image.. Ah man, they had to give in at some point.. Lol.. Well, thats if the meeting was about the album being released.. If not, I still commend the fans on their relentless support for Wasalu,
I hope the deal is a good one... Lu looked happy in the pic which is far from the way he looked on stage last Friday. And I also hope all of the tracks that we heard him perform or heard Snippets to are released. When talking to him, he didn't sound to sure about certain songs. But I am happy something was resolved. Hopefully Atlantic treats Lu like the Lyrical Legend he is! L.A.S.E.R.S.

Not meaningless. One picture doesn't change the fact that Atlantic has been fucking with Lupe and his fans for 2 years now.. doesn't change the fact that Atlantic wants to change Lupe's music. And not just Atlantic, all major record labels are like that--profit driven. I hope Lasers is released, and I hope this is good news. But even if not, I still feel like the protest needs to happen.
How fucked up is it that we have to have a protest to release music with substance??
And I like how this bitch is acting like she and Lupe are best buddies forever and ever.. and she didn't try to make him sign a 360 deal like 10 minutes ago.
if it does mean we get LASER soon, hoping this year, and maybe better or being released from his contract the petition turns into a VICTORY PARTY!!!!! And if they try to screw us again the fight lives on either way this was a difference maker guys
"Furthest we went was out of our minds, but we still here"
Not gonna get my hopes up too much.. But damn it does look like something is coming up over the horizon.
But still, fuck Atlantic. I say that once Lu fulfills what is required of him by his contract, he should ditch that label, and go independent or see if Kanye wants to sign him for G.O.O.D.
this man up there further just said record labels are bad because they are profit driven....leave my mohterfucking country. This is a capitalist economy BRUH.

ReplyDeleteJUSTICE HAS PREVAILED!
ReplyDeleteLupe should probably explain this quick. Protest is coming up soon, and if Atlantic backed down, the protest would be meaningless.

ReplyDeleteBUT!!!!
in any case i'm excited and happy for lupe!
If you've seen her in other pics; she looks mega hot, just saying.
ReplyDeleteWell if Atlantic is backing down and working it out with Lupe, then there really is no reason to protest.
ReplyDeleteBut that is, if something worked out. We have no idea what is behind the picture.

I think it's safe to say that WE THE FANS [MADE] Atlantic budge! You see, we hold power!

They have exactly one week to speak out, before we go stomping around in our camo bottoms and LASERS tops.
Glad we're making progress.

The person who wanted to commercialize Lupe was a chick? I always thought it would be some douchey looking dude.
