Kanye replied to Bush's statement recently on DeviDev's show:
Well, I definitely can understand the way he feels to be accused of being a racist in any way. The same thing happened to me, I got accused of being a racist, with both situations it was a lack of compassion America felt. With him, it was a lack of compassion for not rushing or taking the time to rush down to New Orleans. For me, it was a lack of compassion for cutting someone off in their moment.
Bush also made some other questionable statements recently - Read HERE

ReplyDeleteyou're a Socialist
Lupe forget Kanye in Abu Dhabi playing Yas island taking all that money from Bush UAE oil buddies I suppose.
ReplyDeleteShould we fuck Ye too for blood Money he taking?
And Lupe forgets we are imperialist nation or we still be 13 colonies of England. How else we get Hawaii too? We took it for military purposes. But he visits and records in Hawaii I bet.
Obama sent troops to afghan to continue our tradition why he stepping on Bush dick now? Silly ass take his cartoons move to Japan
Thinking he missed American history in grade school.
Btw Bush never heard of Lupe cause he don't put out mixtapes no more like every other rapper.
Rats
nope I have more common sense than socialism
ReplyDeleteThis is what Revolutionary Suicide can do to a man...
ReplyDeleteShout out to Huey P. Newton for great literature
Hahah first hearing the comment and now reading what Kanye said, just makes me laugh, ". . .For me, it was a lack of compassion for cutting someone off in their moment." HAHAHAHAHAHA Kanye oh Kanye
ReplyDeletethe reason why lupe said this, is cause Bush was recently interviewed and he said himself, that he wished he could've done things differently.
ReplyDelete^^ clearly not a Lupe stan
ReplyDelete"So, when a man resists oppression, they pass it off by calling him "crazy" or "insane." - Huey P. Newton
ReplyDeleteto the dude talking about america being an imperialist nation, we aren't anymore, we have what we have today at the expense of others, imperialism just brings wars to countries, thus the UN being being formed looks like you the one that needs to pay attention
ReplyDeleteIt funny how people are depending the same system that keeps us oppressed because they
ReplyDelete"LOVE AMERICA"
I'm pretty sure all of this will be channeled threw
ReplyDeleteFriend Of The People
the comment could be because of Bush recently admitting he authorized torture and being non apologetic. But obviosly to a certain extent it is about Katrina and kanye's comment
ReplyDeleteWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhahaha :)
ReplyDeleteLupe has legitimate argument for hating Bush.
ReplyDeleteBut why and go bring the Tea Party into this? The Tea Party is anti-government. Then you're going to say they're racist when it isn't true. When they advocate shit you've been talking about forever, Lu?
I hope you guys can see through Lupe's shit, he isn't always right.
Stop talking shit Lu, you don't know what you mean, just admit it.
Lupe is a smart man. But he too is insecure about some of the things he says. That was why he used broad and vague words like chicanery. Lupe knows he isn't completely right. But he is skeptical and realizes that there are people in power trying to deceive us and him, and it takes its hurts him emotionally so he says crazy stuff sometimes.
ReplyDelete@ theorginalname
ReplyDeleteYou obviously have not taken time to follow the Tea Party politically over these last two years. Look at the party members, their manifesto, you'll see their nothing but the same republian party that dragged america into the shithole its in now, with all intention trying to undo the changes that have been done during the obama administration.
And to say their not racist or to say that their anti government shows nothing but an lack of knowledge of what their about. Their anti-gov't feelings? Mostly towards health care reform as put out by obama. They want to limit gov't activity in big business (essentially they want the minimum regulation which leads to shit like the BP fiasco, as well as banks driving the country into the economic crisis) and cut gov't spending that help a great percentage of the minority population. Tea Parties are generally for that new suspected illegal alien law (out in texas i think) that can have anyone who "seem reasonably enough like an illegal immigrant" to be rounded off.
The tea party is nothing but the sasme old republican party, who fights for nothing but the upper classes (if im not mistaken, most blacks dont fit into that category, correct?) under some false guise of "change" trying to ride copy that same energy obama created to carry himself into office.
Is Lu right to say the tea party doesnt like black people? Look at a video of any of their rallies and tell me if you can find one (and of course i mean one not packing a M16, kudos to you if you know what im talking about). The tea party not like black people. They just dont give a shit about them
I follow politics, so I know enough to say that Lu's view on the tea party or bush isnt wrong. Maybe its you that needs to do a little reading up on them before you make a comment, cuz last I check Lu aint advocating that false bullshit the tea party is laying
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LUPE I HATE BUSH

ReplyDeleteYou're right about the tea party. But it was hijacked by the Republicans.
ReplyDeleteIt was originally a legitimate movement to being with though. Against illuminati, new world order, govt and corporate oppression, the federal reserve, etc.
I'm not against Lu's statement, but I just think Lu is fear mongering. Because if you know anything about the election, then you should know we're actually making progress despite the Republicans winning. (There was a significant number of anti-opression, anti-illuminati, dark horse, original tea party members who won under the Republican name this time.)
But does Lupe know this? Lupe keeps giving me the impression that he associates with Socialism, so I'm only skeptical.
I understand if you don't think anything has came out positive this election. But I'm positive the Federal Reserve and illuminati will be going down with the help of Ron Paul, Obama, and the dark horses, no later than the end of January.
ReplyDeleteLast time I checked Governor Blanco (omg, a democrat) was the one who delayed the National Guard entrance into LA, because if you have knowledge of our laws states are sovereign entities and federal interventions (national guard) cannot occur in state territory until they receive approval from governors.
ReplyDeleteYou have great music Lu, but you and Kanye have the political acumen of a small turtles. Rappers are not politicians and should not attempt to be.
Lu saw "zeitgeist"
ReplyDeletewatching that makes you think twice about our govt
@ the above. And you sir are not a political commentator nor a musical critic, therefore you should not attempt to be. You see where we go with crap like that? The nigga was making statements about specific incidences that speak towards the state of the gov't, not on little thing the gov. of a particular state did. Kanye was talking about Bush's response time. Lu was commenting on how niggas was dick riding Ye, as if his statement was completely left field and unfounded. No one was basing their opinion off of a single governor. their talking about the federal gov't not about 1 democrat in your state who didnt effect the nation on a national scale. Dont play that fool role son, nobody likes that.
ReplyDelete@ theoriginalone
ReplyDeletei see your point, but I think that the progress made so far is more of a function of the last two years of gov't not the people who are just coming in. Im not so much as disappointed at this last election as I'm disappointed in the way the gov't (senate in particular) has been operating this last 2 years. This bipartisan hyperpolitcal bs is killing me man, but I see what your getting at.
That jab at the tea party seems like a Kanye-esque joke to me, but i get what you saying to him adding to the fear though, but i dont think thats his intention, he's not pulling a fox news over hurr
i dont blame lupe i hate bush on a girl too ;)
ReplyDeleteok immature jokes aside the tea party itself has a great creed however they themselves tend to be mostly hypocrites i recall seeing government is too big sign at a rally and the guy next to had a sign that read dont touch my social security. u see while their overall message is great their party is mostly formed by misinformed people who are themselves being controlled by fear from what they hear on a certain news station *fox*.
People defending Bush Jr. are funny. Stockholm Syndrome, anyone?
ReplyDeletepeople are so over sensitive. damn u act like he has to be jesus 24/7 the man is allowed to have an opinion
ReplyDeletelmao random hater two above. Im guessing its Soulja wandering over to this lupe board to hate on him in secret. stfu ya noob
ReplyDeleteThe Tea Party isn't anti-government. The Tea Party is for limited government.
ReplyDeletelol, i cant believe i read through all these comments... this shit had me rolling though...
ReplyDeleteI angry with the youth for not voting November 2nd. I guess Obama can kiss his chances of a second term goodbye. Man, and I was really looking forward to free health care.
ReplyDeleteMan, I'm a huge Lupe fan, but this just kinda disappointed me. Can't cosign on this. Why all these dudes hate on Bush like Obama doin' any better?
ReplyDeleteI understand that Obama isn't the greatest President, but this criticism seems a bit more fashionable than logical. I think it is due to the realization of American corruption in the private and public sector by us young people that we like to blame the current administration. Republicans won't change anything and Obama isn't going to do much more, but he is a break from the norm for the international community and also downplays the notion of America superiority within foreign relations. Basically the system we have constructed limits the amount of influence a leader can have.
ReplyDeleteHopefully we have some common ground between the parties in Congress, but the republicans might just do nothing but reject whatever Obama says. Anyway the interest of the Multinational corporations and lobbies are weighed more heavily than ours.
Another point is regarding the comment calling Lupe a socialist, I personally feel Lupe has some socialist ideals and there is nothing wrong with that. The guy reads Critical Theory so it is not a far leap to assume he would have those beliefs. American society has "constructed" the word Socialist as a derogatory term. In Europe the term is normal. The 2008 campaign trail media coverage has attached negative connotations with the word through the publication of the views of the less rational just because it gets more of a response. Anyway I've went on way too long, but kudos to anyone who has read this.
LOL Lupe called Bush "nigga"
ReplyDeleteRon Paul supporters in the house. woot.
ReplyDeleteSocialism seems like a great idea at face value. But it doesn't take a genius to know that it could easily be abused and lead to totalitarianism. And that is not a risk I want to take.
ReplyDeleteI love your site, but honestly tell you that you need more for him to monitor those who commented with your records
ReplyDeletehey, nice weblog and good publish
