haha at the boring comments. i like the corkyness..ie. his commercialized mannerisms. it works though. i wish when i walked lil shadows would follow meeh lol. La-sers!
The Kick/Push video had less to it than this. No one said THAT was boring. Stop being bitter. Nice concept, looks good. Now for the album and the mixtape...
I love it overall, though I think that he should have made it to the stage at the end of the first verse and the quality is kinda blurry, wouldn't you agree?
AHHH I FUCKING LOVE THE VID!!! I'm glad to see that we all have opinions, but you all really think it was that bad?
I love the crisp quality, Hiro is amazing, Everytime!
This right here is the perfect example of making GREAT, fun music, with a MESSAGE, without glorifying violence & degrading women.
Now if other rappers would follow the leader, our youth would be in much better shape.
This is why I'll always & forever be a Lupe fan. I can't wait to dance the night away to this at his next NYC show.. Thanks for your positive influence!
I think it's so hilarious how Atlantic hardly puts any money on any Lupe projects, Yet, Lupe STILL has the most dedicated fans in all of the land, fans that come out and pack the venues to capacity--EVERYTIME!
i kinda felt like there should've been more to it effects wise. i saw the ending coming after 2 mins into the video. it was decent. but lets be honest, lupe has never been known for his outstanding music videos. so what do you expect
Good quality. Good Effects. Good Screenplay. Good message.
It's NOT going to suddenly blow up. TSGO will remain at the 100+ position, mainly because this video should have came out only days after the first single dropped. Atlantic is still reluctant to help Lupe, and it noticeable.
Alternatively, "good" is not enough, but like an Anonymous said, Lupe's video aren't really amazing per se, so this is to be expected.
Meh. It was okay, nothing really creative like the I'm Beamin or just straight awesome like Daydream. But its a music video, only a few are ever incredible. What matters is that this is a stepping stone to March 8th.
It's not the most exciting video but I have a feeling it's like what Lil Wayne did with the A Milli video....him walking on to the stage will lead into another video..idk just a thought but we'll see #WeAreLasers
11:33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
11:33 "People who are wise will help many to understand. But for some time they will be defeated by swords and flames. They will be captured and looted.
Ok how can anyone hate this video?, ok sure it doesnt have the flashing graphics like I'm Beamin or Superstar but this video was pretty gud, u ppl that expect more and more arent real Lupe fans, even durin Lupe's The Cool days he didnt do as much music but in the past year and a half he's done dozens of songs whether it's a feature or his own shit, u cant call him lazy just becuz he postpones a mixtape or that he doesnt make songs everyweek, his music isnt like other mainstream ppl's songs that'll just last 2 months in the clubs and gets borin afterwards, Lupe's music is everlasting, if u dont like the vid then cool but quit expectin sooooooo much from him.
no offence this video sucked. the video had no visuals which was related to the audio. he just walked about the whole thing. like at least show him putting his kicks up at atlantics desk. some one should remix the video. i hope i didnt hurt anyones feeling. not trying to bum any one out just sayin wat it is just thinkin out loud
thats dope, a luella double! that means he values her love and appreciation as a fan. And that's really dope on lupe's end, if he did that intentionally, or was in any part of writing/comming up with ideas for the treatment.
When I watch the video again, mainly all the fans were female. Wonder why? Shoulda had Fiasco Friday Matt doubles! And a Sean double! ;)
i loved how he didn't reach the stage til the end of the vid. it took him the whole song to get to the fans, to the ppl who truly appreciate lu and what his music stands for. it's like a metaphor for this past year, how he's been trying to reach us musically and how we've all been waiting for him at the other end and all the while he's been doing his thing. just my opinion though. dope video
This is the first time I've seen a Lupe Fiasco video ( aside from kick push ) and said, " This is what Lupe should look like." Even the video for Paris Tokyo was missing something. However, Show Goes on is perfect. In the furture I'd like to see a Lupe Fiasco video directed by Kanye West. This video just made me love the song.
Nice
ReplyDeletepff
ReplyDeleteCool video, can't wait for LASERS.
ReplyDelete10/10 not too much, not too little... perfect
ReplyDeleteYeah its good, hope it blows up on mtv, BET and wasn't he supposed to go on BET to premier this video??
ReplyDeleteWhack. Pretty boring
ReplyDeleteAtlantic done screwed his career up
It was a good video. Thanks Lupe. The video it self reminds me of Superstar.
ReplyDeleteit looked a bit gay when he touched the table at the start of the video
ReplyDelete^^^ lolol
ReplyDeletemisspelled wearEnotlosers.com! good vid tho.... "They know the day that you play me'll be the same day MTV play videos
ReplyDeleteThat was a little joke, voila"
haha at the boring comments. i like the corkyness..ie. his commercialized mannerisms. it works though. i wish when i walked lil shadows would follow meeh lol. La-sers!

ReplyDeletei love this video 2 thumbs up

And I better start seeing this on TV
ReplyDeleteThis was a really good video idk wtf you guys are talking about. Maybe you need to watch it again.
ReplyDeleteIt's just so generic.
ReplyDeleteWhere did Lupe go :(
i know what u mean, im about to watch the superstar video again but i still like this video
ReplyDeleteI think it's so hilarious how Atlantic hardly puts any money on any Lupe projects,
ReplyDeleteYet, Lupe STILL has the most dedicated fans in all of the land, fans that come out and pack the venues to capacity--EVERYTIME!
That's true beauty.
LOVE ALWAYS SHINES!!!
i kinda felt like there should've been more to it effects wise. i saw the ending coming after 2 mins into the video. it was decent. but lets be honest, lupe has never been known for his outstanding music videos. so what do you expect
ReplyDeleteit was good
ReplyDelete^ Hiro did a nice job. Congrats to Lu and the whole fam!
ReplyDeleteHere are the facts:
ReplyDeleteGood quality. Good Effects. Good Screenplay. Good message.
It's NOT going to suddenly blow up. TSGO will remain at the 100+ position, mainly because this video should have came out only days after the first single dropped. Atlantic is still reluctant to help Lupe, and it noticeable.

I love the vid. It does seem apparent that atlantic is still acting shady as far as backing Lupe but whateva!!
ReplyDeleteLupe will keep doin him and pushin on!
1Luv
cant wait to see this on bet. best video i seen so far.
ReplyDeleteSuperstar feel.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Meh. It was okay, nothing really creative like the I'm Beamin or just straight awesome like Daydream. But its a music video, only a few are ever incredible. What matters is that this is a stepping stone to March 8th.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I guess Atlantic doesnt listen to Lupe's music cause he is clearly dissing them in this song but whatever. I love it :)
ReplyDeleteSecondly, nice video. Not the best but nice.
I can dig it..
ReplyDeleteI dunno about you guys but Lupe has definitely had some great videos.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely better than your average music videos: Hip Hop Saved My Life, Us Placers, I'm Beaming, Kick Push.
As for this video, it's doesn't really show the same creativity as some of the past videos but it's a decent music video.
It's not the most exciting video but I have a feeling it's like what Lil Wayne did with the A Milli video....him walking on to the stage will lead into another video..idk just a thought but we'll see #WeAreLasers
ReplyDeletelupe got his afro thing going again!!... lol
ReplyDeletemy favorite part is when he turns into the little boy. Kid is insanely adorable.
ReplyDelete-Love
****
It's a bit too cliché for my taste.
ReplyDeleteit was OK I guess...I think it would've made more of an impact if it premiered with the song. =/
ReplyDeleteThis song is all kinds of amazing. I was expecting something different for the vid, but I love lupe, so gotta love the video lol.
ReplyDelete"Semi-colon, close parenthesis"
Lupe is the sexiest man on the PLANET!!!! DAAAMN. Great video...
ReplyDeleteI wish someone could pull up a real kid pic of Lupe. I bet he was flippin adorable :)
11:33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.
ReplyDelete11:33 "People who are wise will help many to understand. But for some time they will be defeated by swords and flames. They will be captured and looted.

ReplyDeleteI liked the video. Some of you want it to be on that Transformers live-action movie shit.
ReplyDeleteand LIRL at those people writing god damn essays about the video. Take it as it is.
Abusing the replay button.
ReplyDeleteEnding gets me pumped for Lasers and upcoming tour.
first off! thank you Lu for 1. dropping skmeing on the day it was told to be dropped and 2. giving us a crazy dope video!
ReplyDeletemy question is.... what is he wearing?! and where and I get?!
How can anybody be hatin on that video,it makes runaway look like a joke. and ya'll talkin about video's beat's etc listen to the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteFnF Up and Away!
MickeyFU!!! - Apparently he's decked out in Mastermind apparel. Expensive.
ReplyDeleteI love this song and video! Good Job Lupe!
ReplyDeleteI think I spotted Luella at 2:42 in the video lol
ReplyDeleteno offence this video sucked. the video had no visuals which was related to the audio. he just walked about the whole thing. like at least show him putting his kicks up at atlantics desk. some one should remix the video. i hope i didnt hurt anyones feeling. not trying to bum any one out just sayin wat it is just thinkin out loud
ReplyDelete@Ceon ..that's a double...lol!
ReplyDeleteEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
ReplyDeletethats dope, a luella double! that means he values her love and appreciation as a fan. And that's really dope on lupe's end, if he did that intentionally, or was in any part of writing/comming up with ideas for the treatment.
ReplyDeleteWhen I watch the video again, mainly all the fans were female. Wonder why? Shoulda had Fiasco Friday Matt doubles! And a Sean double! ;)
Get em!
-Love
^^^
ReplyDeleteLOL @ you all!
A Luella double?
I doubt Lupe would do such a thing, not for me atleast.
You can barely even see the girl at 2:42, huge shadow on her face..
Besides, why get a double when he/they could use me personally?
Maybe next time.
;)
i See the Luella double!!!!
ReplyDeleteXD i like the video but i felt like the show was taking to long to go on... which i guess was the point lol...
lupe seemed glorious. i love him
Luella doubles???? yea yall really tripin on that one!!!LOL
ReplyDeleteI mean i see a few marquita ones but Luella? look like a chick with a head scarf to me!
MTV JAM OF THE WEEK! CHECK IT OUT
ReplyDeletei loved how he didn't reach the stage til the end of the vid. it took him the whole song to get to the fans, to the ppl who truly appreciate lu and what his music stands for. it's like a metaphor for this past year, how he's been trying to reach us musically and how we've all been waiting for him at the other end and all the while he's been doing his thing. just my opinion though. dope video
ReplyDeleteMarquita doubles???? yea right those chicks were toooooo cut to look like marquita.... insult to the 10th power...
ReplyDeletehere is a real dope track I produced and wrote. Lupe fans won't be disappointed!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwQ9Z6TKX3I
The videos is super weak but I'm glad there's a video at all.
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been better if the had the same basic concept, of him walking to the stage, but have it in Lupe's POV.
He reminds me of TI now!
ReplyDeleteI for real never looked at these comments and noticed that looked kinda like Luella and I see everyone else noticed!
ReplyDelete^^^
ReplyDeleteI wish!
wait...people still watch music videos?
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the track more n more each day now the video is out
ReplyDeleteI Love lupe and his music videos i wish i can do a mixtape or album with him - Lil B #BASED
ReplyDeleteafter this guy Hip-Hop can never die
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've seen a Lupe Fiasco video ( aside from kick push ) and said, " This is what Lupe should look like." Even the video for Paris Tokyo was missing something.
