ReplyDeleteUgh, I just read a review and it was not pleasant. It wa a bit discourging... they said the dude who was on stage threatening people was proclaiming that he was a member of Black P. Stone,smh. WTF? Not 'Cool' and not very 'LASER'-like. I really hope Lu is not feeling himself too much now were he feel he can be a DIVA and show his ass as he did in the Chi last night. I think he may owe his hometown an apology or an explanation. I really hope he doesnt pull that shit when I see him in a couple of weeks,smh.
ReplyDeleteUmm if u are starting to question his love for his fan then question your loyalty as a lupe fiasco fan.I'm not lupe's biggest fan but he puts out great music and that should be ur top priority as fan not who he is as a man or a human being
ReplyDeleteThat seriously was the worst experience I've ever had and I am a big Lupe fan.....lost a lot of respect for him out there....didn't even apologize for being late, played 5 songs and peaced out.....

ReplyDeleteJust so everyone knows this was never meant to be a full concert, it was meant to be a party to celebrate the release of the album, and idk if this is true or not but i heard that Lu was never even paid to perform so idk whats up with that. With that said it was still a poorly put together event, there was never any information given to ticket buyers about what kind of event this was going to be, 95% of the people there excepted a full set from lupe. Even though i sort of expected a short set from lupe i was still dissapointed with the events that took place before, this was not a lasers celebration party, it was a bunch of opening acts that no one knew and a DJ with a hypeman trying to pump up the crowd for 2 hours but in reality there was stalling because lupe wasnt there yet. There was no reason for people to throw beer cans on the stage but i understand peoples frustration, its a shame people didn't get to see Lupe perform but yea someone needs to explain wtf happened last night.
ReplyDeleteIt's a party for his record release, is PR people and HIM were there! So he had to be scheduled to perform! Explains why absolutely NOTHING was going on for hours. Something must have happened as he canceled his media plans for 4pm as well. It's just very annoying that he didn't try to give an explanation for the crowd or just cancel the show and refund the money. I'm still waiting on that explanation Lupe, you owe it to your hometown fans!
ReplyDeleteI have seen lupe 4 times now and this was the worst concert i have ever been to. I consider my self a pretty big lupe fan I go see him when i can if he is in chiago or mil. This is the first concert on his tour. It should have been a full set. There was nothing that said there wouldnt be a full set by lupe. People paid 35 dollars to see him, thats 5 hours of work on min wage in chicago which is how much people get paid for most jobs who are going to go to a lupe concert. I am very disappointed and I question how much he cares about his home town fans. This was ridiculous. No sorry for being 3 hours late, no nothing except for a 30 min set. I was at remember to smile and i was expecting a performance like that for the so called lasers release party. I am greatly disappointed and i would like to see some apology, prob wont after this performance.
ReplyDeleteI THINK YAW TRIPPING LUPE DIDNT SHOW HIS ASS AND THE DUDE WHO WAS ON STAGE WASNT EVENT APART OF LUPES OR HOB CONTROL HE WAS WITH ONE OF THE ARTIST THERE AND SHOWED HIS ASS BUT BEFORE HE GOT ON FANS WERE AT AN OUTRAGED LUPE WASNT 3 HRS LATE HE WASNT LATE HE WASNT SUPPOSE TO GO ON UNTIL 11 AND HE HAD PROBLEMS GETTING THERE AS FAR AS TRANSPORTATION GIVE THE GUY A BREAK HE'S A PHENOMINAL PERSON AND ARTIST AND HE ACTUALLY DID MORE THAN WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSE TO AN F.Y.E IT WASNT A CONCERT IT WAS A CELEBRATION AND HE REALLY DID MORE THAN THE THREE SONGZ HE WAS SUPPOSE TO PERFORM SO STOP TRIPPING CAUSE ITS NOT NECESSARY
