ReplyDeleteLOL we're nerdy because we actually appropriate the art of hip-hop? Rap is poetry. Metaphors, double entendres, homophones, imagery, alteration, personification, rhyming, multi-syllable rhyming etc are all a part of poetry and rapping. Using all of these literary techniques takes skill to do especially when considering the fact that you have rhyme with every line, stay on topic, and flow with the mood of the song. I don't consider liking the art hip-hop nerdy at all.

That's true, but just because I didn't like LASERS because it was lacking lyrically(i.e. literary techniques) does not make me nerdy. And I think that's what Lupe meant by nerdy fans, the ones that didn't like LASERS.
