The homie Bishop G just sent this video to me. After opening for Lupe Fiasco some time ago Young Marqus jumps on the 'Words I Never Said' beat. - Check it out!
"And the plans for new order is in my head, cause these are the words that a kid never said" Wow, that gave me chills. And to know that this kid is only 11 years old. That's incredible.
this is dope. thought it was just gonna be a random freestyle that had nothing to do with the context and tone of the original song but maaan.. this was fuckin' ill. this kid is legit. hope he crafts his career with the same positivity and light as this. also, an 11 year old kid knowing about politics aint impossible. kids are smart... in fact more open minded and objective than most adults, who's belief systems are already dogmatically set in stone. the sad part is that the system has actually made the public consensus that kids CAN'T know about these issues cuz they're just kids. maybe if we didnt talk down to kids and spoke to them on our level, youngins' potentials could be elevated.
Give the kid some credit dont know why some of y'all are so negative. How can he be too aware for an 11 year old??? Have you thought about what sort of things went through Lupes head at 11???
^^ Yo, stop spamming the comments with this, Wale said he has a track on which he'd like Lupe to hop on but in the end that doesn't mean shit unless he actually gets him to hop on it.
I know a whole bunch of people who'd like Lupe to be on their tracks.
Thats a dang on shame this young man is expressing his knowledge on what he knows about this nation. Not only that. His word play are well put together. Tell me this how many of you that made a statement can do what he did? Or better yet rap at all? Just haten on lil homie because he did his homework and on his stuff!!!
I personally know Marqus and he does write his own material. He actually carries a big book of metaphors around with him everyday and learns his craft!!
Kid is nice he has major potential... Since we talking about young emcees theres this 16 year old that goes by Robzilla with a flow that remind me of Lupe's and Nas's, his only downside is his occasional biting which he does give proper credit to the originator of the lyric, but he still bite's rarely though no excuses, ya'll should check him out though, and yea young marqus is sick for an 11 year old, or just sick period.
I was looking at this last night. This Young Marqus kid is good! He's a lil cutie too, lol. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm sure an 11 year old knows ALL about the Obama administration. That definitely wasn't written by bishop g.
ReplyDeleteno
ReplyDeleteHis rhymes are fine, but that piercing, the god damn video. The angles, the fake as contemplative acting.
ReplyDeleteI'm really not sure he wrote all of that. Too aware for a kid.
Is he rapping in front of a soccer arena?
ReplyDeleteHOUSTON!!
ReplyDeleteGRB Center behind him!
