Bassnectar will bring his regional Bass Center mini-festival concept to New York this August. The first Bass Island festival will take place on the South Island Field of Governors Island on August 13.The show will kick off at 5 PM and feature support sets from Lupe Fiasco, Z-Trip, Prefuse 73, Virtual Boy, Dave Nada and Joro Boro.New York-area fans should also take note that Bass Island is billed as Bassnectar’s only New York City appearance for the rest of 2011.
