ReplyDeleteI see both sides of the argument. The rapper and persona we all know (Lupe Fiasco) is in fact a product and employee to the very thing Wasalu is attacking. Notice the difference though; this poem of from Wasalu . Lupe Fiasco has inherently become mainstream, and it was predestined the moment he penned his contract with Atlantic, but Wasalu remains inside.
