It's the corporatism, drug dealer dreams, kill the black people, women hating, destroy your own community, rehashed nothing new, same beat over and over again music you hate.
Which just so happens to be the popular rap music of this day.
"...rehashed nothing new, same beat over and over again music..."
You got that right. It seems as though I hear the same cycle of material. I know that content will eventually repeat itself but, the style and delivery feels monotonous. I think there's too much focus placed on the luxuries, and what can be afforded. Nothing wrong with mentioning those things, it's just that they've become more of the core subject matter rather than a compliment to something substantial.
It's still part of hip hop though. However much we may hate all of those negative things, they have woven themselves into the fabric of the culture that is Hip hop. Unfortunately, you've got to take the good and the bad.
It's not hip hop you hate.
