Last night, Lupe kicked off the Generation Laser Tour at Pantherfest in Milwaukee, WI. Above, you can see him opening up the show by giving the first ever live performance of "Letting Go." - More footage below..
"if your energy doesnt go up when show goes on plays, you prolly dont have a pulse. and if you dont feel like reflecting on life when u hear never for you, ur just a stubborn piece of shit."
I agree with you actually. Never Forget You and The Show Goes On are solid tracks despite Lu not wanting to them, but LASERS overall is a disappointment. And that's Atlantic's fault. Atlantic deserves the hate.
Is Lupe going to be performing just songs from L.A.S.E.R.S during this tour? I want to get ticksts for the show in Oakland but since this is going to buy my first Lupe concert, I don't know if I want to start it off with L.A.S.E.R.S. I would rather see him perform songs from Food & Liquor & The Cool. Should I wait for the Food & Liquor II tour or just see him live now?
@chrisof94 Just buy the tickets you won't be dissapointed. And like Sean said it's a 90 min set so he'll perform the classics. And, on a F&L II tour you really going to think he's going to perform all old songs? He's moving forward not backwards.
I'm going to try and buy the tickets then once I gather up the money. I kind of wanted to wait for Food & Liquor II tour because he said he would have full creative control but there are some amazing songs on L.A.S.E.R.S as well. It's sad that I was just to young to go to any of his previous tours.
Lol @ Sean scream ALWAYS had that hook it just wasn't as loud. I think the reason you can hear it clearly now is cause of the back up singers but I always heard that chorus in the background when ever he perfromed it.
Is he really rapping on that box the whole show?
ReplyDeleteGoing to miss that shining down intro it was epic.
ReplyDeleteNot feeling never forget you.
Who's the third backup singer? I know Sarah Green, Tara King, but I see someone else back there during Letting Go too
ReplyDelete@Letting Go!
ReplyDeleteThat's The Mad Violinist who was featured on Show Goes On..he's joining Lupe for the whole tour.
Did y'all notice that Scream has a hook now?
So why does lupe have backgound singers again? There fucking up his performance...

ReplyDeleteLove the idea of backup singers, but they were off this performance! Work on you harmony girls!
