Bassnectar took to Twitter and said he'll record with Lupe next week. He asked the following question: "Should we make punk rock VS dubstep or throb hop vs bass? CHOOSE ONE"
^^ of course b/c all black everything wasn't a true hip hop beat lol. yes lasers wasn't good but you make it seem like everything about it was pop when songs like all black everything, till i get there, letting go, words i never said, coming up and never forget you were far from being pop
'i havent listened a lu on true hip hop beat since the cool. wtf man?'
You been on holiday or something? Till I Get There, All Black Everything, Beautiful Lasers, Zombieland, My Turn, I'm On, the countless freestyles, I'm Beaming, Shining Down, Double Burger With Cheese, Joaquin Phoenix, WWJD, SLR, Flying High, Dont Look Down, Dont Stop, Us Placers, We All Want The Same Thing, Fire, Nothing On You, Stereo Sun, Who Are You Now, Army Girl, the Cyphers, Go To Sleep ARE JUST SOME OF THE SONG WITH PURE HIP-HOP BEATS. Other than these, there are even more that arent very 'true hip hop' i.e. they dont sound like something from the 90's, but are very far from pop. STFU and think twice before letting your ass on the comment section again.
That's so crazy how yall come to a lupe blog to fuckin complain about some of the best music out right now... damn and yall hurt his feelings read his twitter...
leave the gotdamn blog and go listen to old hip-hop heads if u want more of the same with no progression
I have to agree. Dubstep has been used more recently as an avenue of escaping the confides of normalcy not creativity. But does that mean their aren't GREAT dubstep artists? No. Maybe Lupe has had some type of revelation... we can hope, right?
Anyway, if you're skeptical, you should check out SnowGlobe.
How about both... I'm tryna be in the studio for that one!
ReplyDeletePatiently awaits those that will say, "Uhhggg, I hate dubstep. Gawd Lupe has fallen off."
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping the music won't overcome Lupe's voice like the one he did with Sway. :C
ReplyDeleteMy real only complaint about him working with dubstep.
^ too bad Lightwork wasn't dubstep.
ReplyDeleteNeither is that sway song. God u people suck.
