One of the highlight tracks off theFriend of the People mixtape gets the fan video treatment, consisting of clips from the Occupy Wall Street movement.
SSWIDTMS is a facebook page www.facebook.com/shitscottwalker and they have been documenting and disseminating information about Scott Walker's fascist overreach in Wisconsin for the past 10 months. If you are able to put a link to the page that would be awesome but either way, check it out.
Thank you Lupe for your contributions to the movement!
This is my favorite song off the mixtape!!! Deals with a lot of issues I care deeply about. I remember when lupe said in an interview that he might not write a song about occupy but then his lying ass did anyways!!! lol But still a big THANK YOU for the song no matter what. I'mma listen to it during every protest I attend.
And I liked how the video showed NYPD leading the protesters to the Brooklyn Bridge where they would later trap the protesters and arrest 800 or so of them smh.
So if someone disagrees with your appraisal of Lu's mixtape they are "Lupe dick riders" and need to "calm down" ?
Doesn't your expection of everyone having the same opinon about the mixtape (that it is "garbage", as you say) sound like the very mentality of 'group think' you seem to be opposing by labelling FOTP fans "dick riders" ?
Yet you say "just my opinion folks" alluding that your opinion should be respected, then go on to disrespect the opinions of others by name-calling.. :S
Your comment was premature.. please let a logical thought grow before you give birth to sentences.
L.Davis, this is one of my favorite song off the album as well. It's like a wake a call. I think about what all the occupyers around the world is going through. We, never know when the end is coming, don't know what tomorrow brings all I can do is think about today good job Lupe.
This gives me the chills :')
