Lupe performed at the Schaeffer Crawfish Boil in Birmingham, AL on Saturday. He dedicated the night to Adam "MCA" Yauch, of the Beastie Boys, who passed away on May 4th (R.I.P.) and he brought out a boy on stage, who's battling cancer, to perform "The Show Goes On" with him.
Check out a few videos of Lupe's set below!
Props to: The Cryptic Beauty

For once in my life I can finally say as the devout Lupe fan I am...I was there!!! And on another note Lupe announced his love for Bama...Roll Tide!!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, Lupe is the BEST! What an amazing human being!!!
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless you Lupe!
that last video made me cry. damn
ReplyDeleteI was there also! What a wonderful person he is, the only performer who actually cared about these survivors. He had them on stage God, definately sent an Angel!
ReplyDeleteThe one time Lupe was in my city and I missed him!!!!!!!! To be honest, I just didn't feel like putting up with a lot of people to see Lupe Fiasco. I missed the Cool Tour, I missed Kanye West's glow in the dark and I missed Lupe at the Boil :(
ReplyDeleteHello, me again. Now that I have watched these videos I feel stupid for not attending. He was right there in my city.............sigh. I've live in Birmingham for years and have yet to attend a crawfish boil. Back in the day they use to have really lame acts. Hip hop acts are a new thing at this event.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, that was very bold of Lupe Fiasco to perform all black everything at the crawfish boil in Birmingham Alabama LOL!!!!! That black man had to stop and explain those lyrics before it got hostile.........gotta love south.
