Lupe was at the Memphis Music Foundation for a Q&A session yesterday. He spoke about growing up in the ghetto of Chicago, the influence MLK Jr. had on him, the function of ghetto areas as being a "trap," negativity in rap, an artists' lack of power without an audience, the duality of the genre, why he named his album Food & Liquor, Food & Liquor 2 and answered audience questions.
