^^ true shit.."don't judge the book by its cover" type feel, I think its black for a purpose, some "sublime motive" about america "like it looks simple, cooperative and bold on the outside from other eyes but so descriptive once you entered the inside perspective"..like its not want it seems to be. but lol isn't everything though?..anyone else??
I think it's for the listener to interpret the music and the content on his/her own without any imagery to sway thoughts one way or the other. This way the audience will have a primarily objective ear when listening.
That's because it's Frank Ocean, I wouldn't put him on Lupe's level. It's a cool concept but I don't need a physical CD, booklet and case. Haven't used a CD in over a year. I get what Lupe is doing. I've bought his past CD's. All I care about is the music. And honestly I feel like some people are over analyzing this cover. I've never been hyped off a cover.
I'm sorry, this is dumb as hell. If someone walks into a store, sees an entirely black cd case with no name and no way to know what the hell it is...why on earth would they buy it???
I'm sure there's a great subliminal meaning behind this, but Lu I hope you thought his one threw
Wow
