Lupe was in New Orleans recently and got a chance to sit down with Mannie Fresh. They talked about his rap alias, dealing with industry politics, the state of Hip Hop and its future.
He also lists a few of his own songs that he personally feels have been the closest to being artistically perfect. He says that the album after Food & Liquor 2, tentatively titled The Cooler, will be made with the intention of having an album full of artistically perfect songs.

ReplyDeleteThe Cooler? Hell Yeah The Cooler!
ReplyDeleteThe Cooler sounds...cheesy. The Coolest might be better....thoughts?
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think Mannie Fresh is kinda awkward as an interviewer? lol.
ReplyDeleteThat was awkward as hell. I couldn't tell if Mannie was nervous, shy, uncomfortable, or what. Lu basically carried the weight of this interview.
ReplyDeleteJust something I noticed but go to Youtube and search "Most Lyrical Song" and see what the top result is? Every Lupe Fiasco fan should do this. I didn't realize how many other people realized his greatness.
ReplyDelete"It's like, you know!"
ReplyDeleteThe Coolest should be the title. The Cooler sounds like a Dragon Ball Z character.
ReplyDeleteForm Follows Function better be a single with a video
ReplyDeleteIm tired of these generic old ass questions; "what does your name mean?" "what do u think about the state of hip-hop today?". Like come on now, when is a true lupe fan going to interview this guy.
ReplyDeleteCool... cant wait
