ReplyDeleteHe was having an episode of sleep paralysis. In REM sleep, sometimes your conscious mind wakes up before your subconscious mind does, resulting in hallucinations, a feeling of being paralyzed, and nightmares that seem real.
ReplyDeleteThis is very common in children and some adults. It used to happen to me all the time where I felt like I couldn't breathe and was going to die in my sleep.

Omg! I was just about to say he was experiencing sleep paralysis. Sorry Lupe and radio girl... that was not an alien. LOL! I get sleep paralysis all the time. I've hallucinated and seen stranger things then what he saw. trust!! Someone probably scrated him with their toe nail in his sleep.

ReplyDeleteLool they are describing sleep paralysis. Happens to me all the time...esp when im overly tired and badly needing sleep. But then again sleep paralysis isnt totally understood so who knows. Maybe those of lucky enough to experience hypnogogia (going into dream state/sleep paralysis or hypnopompic - coming out of sleep paraysis) have been visited and proved by martians...??
