As Sean pointed out, the difference in population between the US and Australia is the reason certification tallies are so different. To sell 560,000 in such a small country population wise is impressive. To put it into perspective Australia's population is only around 60 percent of the population of California. So imagine a song only being heard in California, totally excluded from the rest of the US hearing it selling over half a million.
Every country's certifications are related to their populations. No other way would make any sense. So 560,000 copies sold in Australia is every bit as impressive stats wise as 8 million sold in the US and is why those sales equal 8x platinum in their respective regions. Battle Scars is now the eight highest selling single in Australian music history, the second highest selling song by an Australian act.
I'm not sure why but this blog is loading very slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists. my web page: simply click the following site
Lupe had zero support from Atlantic with this album & no real promotion was done on their part. Prolly because Guy isn't an Atlantic artists. Record Labels are mad shady yo.
I can't wait til Lu can leave Atlantic.
