Hello. A decision has been made that the project titled "F&L2 Part 2" will be summarily cancelled for public release in 2013. The title/concept for Lupe's 2013 release will be revealed later this year. The LF twitter will be closed until that time.

Touring from half a project that was meant to be two comeplete discs makes no sense. The label made him separate it so doing that would be pretty tardish but I like the mixtape tour idea. That'd be dope af! Bring the oldies back!

And he had mentioned that he wanted to do a sequel to The Cool, or he may be getting a jump on Skulls, or maybe he's working on something completely new. Either way, the last thing he wants to do is dissapoint the fans.
Don't attack him or feed the trolls who say he doesn't care, because he cares more than we could know. I'd rather have him put more care into a project than have a pointless album drop and be the end of it.

He doesn't collab with a lot of artists, even the ones who are supposed to be in a group with him. From a career standpoint he isn't even trying to increase his fanbase or cement his brand.

@Truth, you people are acting like Lupe hasn't made music in years. Since 2011 we've gotten 2 albums, a mixtape and a couple of features from him and he just came out with a freestyle a few weeks ago. Whether Lupe fans listen to Wayne or not, Wayne practically started the whole making music every few weeks and other rappers started doing it and some of Lupe fans have said that Lupe should be following suit, even if Lupe fans don't even listen to Wayne, most of them are aware that he makes a shitload of music.
ReplyDeleteYes it is cancelled but there's a completely different album coming this year from him, you don't even know why it's cancelled in the first place and yet you're attacking him for it, what if the record label has something to do with it? Do you know how many rappers cancel/delay their albums?. Lupe's not the first but you people are acting like it. I and a few others are disappointed that he's not coming out with the album early 2013 but we're not going as far to call Lupe a bitch just because he's not dropping a album (see this on YouTube), maybe he's going through something, you don't know so quit bitching about him not dropping a album, it's not like he said that he's not going to make music anymore.

I was being blunt. I don't want to come off as "attacking" Lu or come off as demanding music every week. I was definitely ticked when I heard that Pt2 was canceled because I was really looking forward to it. Yeah we are getting a new album, but I have little faith we'll get to listen to it this year. This looking to be a LUPEND/LASERS 2.0.
As of right now I'm going on the assumption that Lu and Atlantic are on good terms as the last time Lupe mentioned them he had nothing negative to say about them though I do see the clues and signs other people have pointed out that point toward this being the 360 deal issue again.
But if something is up Lu should let us know. I really can't see this being a personal problem that led to the cancellation, but you never know. I think most would understand if Lu gave an explanation.
lupe has lost is damn mind... and his sound. his music sounds like everyone else's music. props for a positive message, but the F&L and The Cool Lupe we all knew and loved is gone.... Lupe, you've lost your edge man...
