Pure Genius
ReplyDeleteGreatest rapper Dead Or Alive
damn this was so great
ReplyDeleteCan anyone please explain some of the concepts?
ReplyDeleteSystematic decay
DeleteArt, LU!!!!!! I love u mayyyyyn, no homo but ya made my year!!!! FNF UP
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it was shocking enough, and I emphasise 'Enough'
ReplyDeletethat was the most thought-provoking music video I've ever seen. :) Thanks Lu!
ReplyDeleteHave to agree - so many layers and so much to absorb. Will take a while and don't know if I will even unravel it all! Another great gift from Lupe (& friends)
DeleteOoooh maentaaaalll videeooooo
ReplyDelete#123 videos was the shitttttttttt
ReplyDeleteOkkk was lupe
ReplyDeleteBest video ever!
ReplyDeleteFnF up
I don't understand the video can someone explain please
ReplyDeleteIts about the society in decay, Lamborghini Angels is about how the rappers portray themself as diamond flooded demons ect, lobotomi is an illegal doctor surgery CIA used in the 1960'ies. Then ITAL roses come where he is sending a massage to Obama about how everything have went wrong then in audubon ballroom is about he is spitting about the black culture who has been in decay and still is. so he is illuminating the truth about society and how the goverment is pressing the youth and the people whom have nothing to live for will get more poor. i think its about that
Deleteyou have no fucking idea what ur talking about
DeleteAt least they offered their interpretations in response to someone with a genuine question. Instead you just dismissed it and contributed nil to the conversation. @OP I think its meant to spark conversation in order to dialogue over solutions to the criminalization of our youth and glamorization of violence/drugs/money/women in the media.
DeleteFirst of all you have to watch and listen to his incredible lyrics. Its starts off the first section as just mocking the hip hop culture. Its giving you everything hip hop culture has come to celebrate up front and not beating around the bush. And its like hypnotizing black people into thinking these things on screen are what really matter.Thats why you see the flashing and spinning images hypnotizing Drugs make you stupid, addicted, or both. Diamonds are for wealthy people not for a man that has made his first $100,000 and often even less or just got his tax money. Diamonds are owned by wealthy white people. Fuck it everything is owned by wealthy white people bc not bc black people cant own but they spend money foolishly and dont invest and try to ball too soon. White people control what goes on tv but even still we make these videos selfishly to get paid and get "bad bitches". 2+2=5 flashes niggas are stupid. Nighas spend $170+ over and over on Jordans that are just being rereleased. They dont even design a new shoe for you anymore. Its crazy.
DeleteThen the middle section with the kid growing up on this shit. If you listen to the lyrics theres no fathers in the homes correcting this foolishness. These kids see real life examples of what they see on tv bc remember niggas and bad bitches are really hypnotized. So they look up to these guys with a false sense of self worth and the cycle repeats. The cop comes in oh youre gonna be one of those hooligans when you grow up. Let me just take you to jail now. Then it shows what white kids or should I say not future niggas watch growing up and you see a different type of teen and adult in real life bc of this.
Then theres the meeting with adult reactions to the situation, everyone has their opinion and this is why no one likes any other type in this country. But especially the nigga they are the whole topic and its an outrage. Thats all. Great great video. It really says all what I just explained.
This made my day, month, year, lupe never disapoints!!!
ReplyDeletedisapointed.
ReplyDeleteHeh. I liked the Lamborghini Angels video. Should have known Lupe was going to take the fun outta this though.
DeleteOK, I think I did pretty good but the only part I'm not understanding is Lupe beneath the suit. Which I guess means I don't understand the whole thing, but any help???
ReplyDeletehes mimicin the kkk group (a racist group who hate blacks and others), the rest you should be able to understand, lupe hasn't made this to complex to understand, its pretty obvious what his message and to show what he stands for.
DeleteYea i think that true because i can't understand how it is fair for a black person to say the n word to another black person and its perfectly fine to call each other on a daily basis , but when another ethnic minority says it becomes racist!?. The N word should not be used at all Black are as much to blame as the other ethnic minority. Lupes message was great!
DeleteFAIR!? good lawd give me a break
DeleteI would like to hear your opinion on this, I am debating the use of the N word not hear to argue btw
Deleteas much to blame as any ethnic minority...what does this mean, please?
DeleteLupe usually has multi-messages - I took "don't believe everything you see or hear" "Make sure you have your facts right before making assumptions" etc. etc.
DeleteI was pretty sure on first watch that the original KKK man WAS white skinned and not Lupe - 2nd watch confirmed it. So ... "people can be changed"? "working with the people who are the problem is how you bring about change"? "Slip in knowledge under the radar (music/rap)"?? So deep this video trilogy 1,2,3 on 4th July @ 12.34 = #1234
Deleteethnic minority's as in white, Asians, Hispanics etc
Deleteits mostly because the oppression and degradation that was used with the word. When a black person says the n word to another black person, you know they're not going to use it to convey racism.
Deleteyea but should it be allowed to use by anyone?
Delete"Allowed"? What do u mean by this?
DeleteLupe beneath the suit means that those that we may think are the worst enemy of the blacks (kkk) is actually not as bad as the others.
DeleteDamn lupe killed this, no one can compare tome him, best rapper ever!, livin beasttttt
ReplyDeleteYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII THIS WAS THE SHIIIIII*****************!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere is the release party being held for this tonight? It is no longer Independance Day it is all Hail King Lupe Day for being the realest voice of our generation. Seriously we need to celebrate this astounding landmark....before its too late. As Lupe subliminally pointed out in this video all "good" things must come to an end. Possibly a little sooner than later...
ReplyDeleteLupe came, he saw, he conquered
ReplyDeleteLu's dancing was funning :-D made my day!
ReplyDelete.... And I Now Present To You Lupe Fiasco's The Great American Triolgy (123)!!!!
ReplyDeleteLambhorhgni angels and ITAL were ok (I guess I was expexcting too too much) but audobon ballroom was my favourite great vid lu :)
ReplyDeletethe end was the epic
ReplyDeleteThis was totally awesome! I would've liked at least some more camera angles for the ITAL video, but I think this might be one of the most artistic music videos I've seen this year, next to the NIN one with David Lynch. Hits me right in the feels....in a good way.
ReplyDelete*YAWN*
ReplyDeleteIt's just over your head buddy, go to wakaflocka-end.com for something more suitable for your IQ
DeleteNah baby there is nothing that Lu or any of these other rappers can say/do that would EVER go over my head...I'm cut from a different fabric. Much respect to Lu but he does not jolt me. He's good he's cute.
Delete^^ Word is bond.
DeleteLmao no lie Kevs nothing Lu says goes over my head. Ur very passionate very good young boy.
Deletey the priest throw his water like lupe do?
ReplyDeletePriests use water to bless and purify etc. - that's what I took. Useless attempt at controlling bad behaviour and bad outcomes ...
DeleteThe priest throw it lyk a boss
DeleteLupes wink hahahaha and their was only three black guys in the video lol and did you notice the black guy at the end (the goon) disappered
ReplyDeleteI think that was the point also...the goon disappeared for a reason
DeleteI think the "goon" left once he realized the ramifications of the imagery he was helping promote. He realized he was on the wrong side of the fight...so to speak
DeleteI would agree with that if only I didn't think there was some grand scheme to somehow out all of the "goons" from society. Look at Trinidad James video "All Gold Everything." Everybody in the beginning in the hood has their faces blurred out. The same thing with the cover of Good Kid Mad City. There are probably more examples of this but none are coming to mind right now. We're all on the wrong side of the fight whether you be a goon or goblin. I think something big is about to go down...FREE TRAYVON!
DeleteThis is #lightblue ...bravo...
ReplyDeletewhos the chick?
ReplyDeletei think the file name lf163 is lupe fiasco 163 i dont know what the 163 stands for and it shows him growing up with the difference in influence between him and the white kid. i think him being the kkk dude represents him infiltrating the people who control the media as a rapper in disguise and how he going against the system with his music.
ReplyDeleteThat is part of the message I took ... still thinking!
DeleteI like how the lf163 files show how Lupe's music/messages are creating dialogues and discussions between various types of people
DeleteIts not white vs blacks anymore. Rich vs poor. The 3 social classes are becoming just 2. Well...already is just 2. The upper and lower class tbh.
ReplyDeletehip hop would be boring without lupe
ReplyDelete2+2=5 george orwell's 1984 reference anybody catch that?
ReplyDeleteTy
DeleteLupe the Legend!*patiently waits for Tetsuo & Youth*
ReplyDeleteAmazing work Lupe...just amazing but what else from the greatest rapper/lyricist to ever walk this earth
ReplyDeleteprobably the most thought provoking music video in the history of music.
ReplyDeleteTht gyll ws daamn fyn ;)
ReplyDeletecrap videos as most of his video are , but these are the worst, if there is a message , he should have made it more clear, all the same its not a video you would want to watch twice , once was hard enough , music was good ....
ReplyDeletelol, your right , way to much thought went into this which made it crap as it is....
Deletelupe is the G.O.A.T ,He should run for president, would definitely vote for him
ReplyDeleteThis was legendary!! Extremely powerful! FNF UP!
ReplyDeleteLupe! Love what he did with those songs vidz. It's like another type of short film. Unfortunately, I.don't see it getting a lot of attention. Especially seeing how everybody is Magna Carta dazed, lol! -Law
ReplyDeleteThat girl in lambhroghni angels *SMH*
ReplyDeleteWooooww!! that vid made me think lol only a great rapper like lupe could do that, definetly underated.
Delete1. Lupe Fiasco
ReplyDelete2. Curren$y
3. Common
4. Ghostface Killah
5. MF DOOM
6. Mos Def
7. Black Thought
8. 2Pac
9. Jay-Z
10. Nas
...Do I not see Canibus or Big L on that list...
Deletewow
ReplyDeleteThat was definitely something, WOW
ReplyDeleteso what did u get .. i didn't get anything and i feel dumb when everyone else says it's a thought provoking video.
ReplyDeletethe girl lambhorghini angel song was a victim in the video she is not she which made me feel she is there only for commercial purposes to attract viewers.
chicken, shoes and then the woman .. what does that mean?
ReplyDeleteplus why in the beginning it says starring the b!tch? in the song there's no b!tch
in the song she was an innocent person who was turned into a whore
you're not american are you? either that or you're a youngin. fried chicken, jordans and sexualized women are pretty much staples of hip-hop/americanized culture
Deletehiphop/americanized/black culture
DeleteWhy did this take so long to get here? Whatever. I thought the visual storytelling were too lazy to really adhere to the rather weak songs. Got kinda bored. Wasn't that creative.
ReplyDeleteHonestly it was ok. It wasn't too thought provoking. It wasn't hard to figure out what the imagery was trying to convey.
ReplyDeleteMy feelings exactly. The message isn't confusing. I get it, and it is deep, but I feel the video simplified it too much, and after all that early hype, I thought I'd see a more traditional music video, not just an art project. It's great and different from anything else ever seen before, but I probably won't watch it again because it's kind of boring.
DeleteWhose the girl in the video though
ReplyDeleteLupe should stop with using these slyly sexy video chick in his vids (BB and LA) and do a positive cute female his jamming with or something, like "Mix Melissa Ford with Maya Angelou/ Become a top model and Sojourner too" (But change MF for Bre from ANTM.). Showing postivie stuff how girls can be like that 'Army Girl' and 'He gets the girl' type stuff. What you think?
DeleteAgree
DeleteAnybody else think that the food fight symbolized how everyone in America wastes food?
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not good nutritious food.
DeleteI luuuuuuv thissss
ReplyDeleteThe amount of retards onn this blog is way to high!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, not sure how many of you who have already replied will even read this comment, but for those of you who do, I ask you...
ReplyDeleteWhy do you bicker amongst yourselves?
Are we not ALL here because we are Lupe Fiasco FANS? Supporters of a movement, with hope for a better world and better United States of America for every human being and for this one planet that we have? Can you not see the obvious, that by bickering about pointless things, (disappointing video, wack, sexy bitch, etc...) we are weakening our combined possible strength? Come on ladies and gentlemen, its fine to have individual and differences of opinion, but keep the negativity subdued.
Amen
DeleteI thought the girl was kim kardashian... :/
ReplyDelete2+2=5 is from George Orwell
