The Gorillaz got a couple of verses from Lupe Fiasco...

Earlier this week BBC Radio 1 broadcasted an interview that Zane Lowe did with the Gorillaz (Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett) before their Roundhouse gig in London.

Damon revealed that he got so much stuff and guest verses for the "Plastic Beach" album that it was really hard to narrow it all down...but it had to be done and unfortunately the verses they got from Lupe didn't make the album...

Damon said that they might put out some of the stuff that didn't make the album in the future though. So...yeah, I really hope that there'll be another B-Side album or something along those lines....we'll see...

Update: New Gorillaz Album In 2010

According to NME, Blur’s Damon Albarn and animator Jamie Hewlett
are set to begin work on a new Gorillaz album.

The pair also revealed that the release may see
a new visual look for the animated band.

Update: Right now it looks like the album will drop early 2010
and it's tentatively titled "Plastic Beach"
