Jay-Z - Glastonbury + Download

As Jay- Z pleased thousands last night at the Glastonbury festival on the Pyramid stage as a headliner, I had my eyes glued to the TV as he entertained. I was so proud to see that not only him but also Lupe Fiasco came out to show us what they had in an Indie/rock dominated concert and showed especially the narrow minded what HIP-HOP‘s all about.

Jay-Z came on stage and rolled through smashing hits such as “Izzo”, “Hard Knock Life” and “Big Pimpin”.
We all know that if it were just to be a Jay-z concert his “Jigga what, Jigga Who” or even his “A Billie” freestyle would have definitely gained a better reception, but the crowd were obviously not aware of his more “special” tracks. You also saw Beyonce in the back looking very enthusiastic and rapping to every word and like any other, I thought she was going to come on stage and perform, too.

We all know the controversy that sparked between Noel Gallagher and Jay-Z, but he was able to prove that “Hip-Hop should be respected like any other form of music”.

He blew us all away especially as he started the show with a popular Oasis song “Wonderwall”.

Jay-Z closed the show with “Encore” and I strongly believe that if Jay-Z called this his last show, this could have been it. I saw a man who was on top of his game.
