  4. so sounds like he said that japanese cartoon is his next album... thats what it seemed like he implied there... that sucks, I hope his next album isnt some singing

  5. He is going to finish his record deal at atlantic before dropping Lupend... lets hope the albums won't suck....

  6. lol if he drops japanese cartoon, he drops it ... bonus. But he blatantly said you can expect 'the great american rap album' by june, so you're not really losing a whole lot i guess, he offers you a rap album when the earliest disc of LupEND was expected, so we still get out fix, except with a guarantee of an EPIC hip hop track to top that all off. And with a heads up for us to be ready for other projects on the other two dates the other two LupEND discs were supposed to drop.

and if that's not enough he offers LupEND 'RIGHT AFTER THAT'. That's almost 100 Lupe tracks (more or less) coming at us in the space of two years. Think about it, this is EPIC news, one of the best things to happen to hip hop in ages is the way i see it!

  7. LOL @ the tracklist. Epic. I hope he keeps those names. Hahaha.

  8. Wait isn't this sorta good news. I mean, we get even more Lupe b4 he retires. That's great.

  9. Yeah, that is a good point Angie. We get more Lupe. He's pretty much slapping Atlantic in the face if he sticks with that tracklist and album title.. very funny.

The quick, every-6-months release format I expect him to stick to. Now, he wants to get the f*ck away from Atlantic, so he's gonna fulfill his 5 cd obligation and get the f*ck out. Thus, we get 3 albums like that.

This is a gift, just hidden in some bad wrapping paper and a pissed off lupe. Explanation:
1)We STILL get Lupe's 3 discs under Atlantic, by the looks of it between 33-40 tracks. And within just over a year's timespan.
2)We still get LupEND, which will STILL be Everywhere, Nowhere, and Down Here.
    3) And he's got what, two interesting books out there,
4)the possibility of more CRS leaks or even an album, and
5)Japanese Cartoon (however his role is in this)

  10. NEW THEORY!! "lupEND right after that...when the liberation comes!!!..."

Could that mean after CRS ^????

  11. 3 extra albums? and then lupEND?

sounds like good news to me

  12. i don't think that was him, let's wait for his next T.V. or radio appearance/interview?

  13. Exactly JF. It sounds great to me. I hope he keeps that track names lol :P It's pretty funny.

  14. @ Rhymestyle, I actually think "when the liberation comes" means when he is free of his contract to Atlantic.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think Lu Myself is right Rhymestyle. he's been trying to get away from Atlantic for a while so the liberation has to be from them. this better not be no BS either cuz I'm gonna be mad if it is...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Liberation cant happen until he completes his deal... but I THINK what he could be trying to do is drop few more albums first, so that he can release lupEND when he is done with Atlantic... hows that for a theory?? :D

    ReplyDelete
  17. i think he needed more time to find a rhyme for 'amajanese'

he choked, and now he's stalling

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm still upset because it's like when you listen to his albums (hell, his music in general), you can tell he puts his all into it. Now to see he's releasing three albums in 6-month intervals, then releasing LupE.N.D., I wonder will the same amount of effort be put into the three albums he's doing to finish his contract.

I also wonder what he's gonna do with "The Greatest Rap Song Ever Made" (lol)

  19. greatest rap song ever made will probably be rock-ish. lol..

  22. everyone on army thinks this is someone who hacked lu's account. idk hat to think.

    ReplyDelete
  23. lol. Busy himself confirmed that it was Lu.

  24. Sean Whats Going On Sean, Im Not Liking This Man, It Has To be Japanese Cartoons I Knew It, I Knew It All Along

    ReplyDelete
  25. Atlantic is straight bossin' Lupe around. haha They got him on the Plies regiment of releasing records every 6 months.

    ReplyDelete
  26. THIS IS REAL PEOPLE!!! HE REALLY IS TRYING TO GET OFF OF ATLANTIC. HE'S PISSED SO HE IS GOING TO MAKE 3 WACK ALBUMS THAT WON'T SELL. SO HE CAN GO INDEPENDENT AND COME BACK WITH SOME AMAZING STUFF.

REALLY WHO NAMES THEIR TRACKS 1,2,3,4. SOMEONE GETTING OUT OF THEIR CONTRACT! Liberation!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Isn't Lupe just mockin' the whole situation. Maybe he isn't even releasing an album. Who says the GREATEST RAP ALBUM is his ? He was just suggesting you could expect it. Maybe he is taking a twist and it is his album, but not Lup E.N.D. and it will be featuring Japanese artwork (luvved the Kanye artwork on Graduation) For now all we can do is wait for more info to precisely determine the value of this post.

    HOLLA!!! FNF UP!!!

  28. I don't know if anyone is concerned with the same problem I quickly noticed, but it seems as if "THE GREAT AMERICAN RAP ALBUM" has no apparent concept or meaning which is what Lupe's an expert at. It's very vague, and appears to be being produced just to have something new out.

Other than that I was excited to know we'd get a lot more Lupe before he converts to a novelist.

    ReplyDelete
  29. none out yet, but he's mentioned that he is penning one, maybe even two right now, in a few interviews (normally ones referring to how he plans to leave the game after lupEND)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Devin, I think it COULD be cool to see him make an album with little concept if it was a return to his mixtape form; part of whats cool about his catalog is that there are almost 2 distinctive styles: album lu and mixtape lu. If he made LupEND a heavy story/cohesive album, then maybe the album before could revert to some of the more stream of wordplay and interesting lines similar to tracks line "Pen and Needlz" or "Twilight Zone."

But at this point, Lupe is acting pretty unpredictable. This whole japanese cartoon situation is strange, and now hes messing with his albums that seemed pretty definite. I hope he manages to pull all this off.
