Lupe Fiasco @ Drexel University - Sean Connors' Review

Sean (cool name btw) went to his first Lupe concert yesterday (May 9th 2009 @ Drexel University in Philadelphia) and he just sent me his review.
Check it out!

The concert was simply amazing. Lupe managed to get the entire crowd involved even with the sweltering heat of the non-air conditioned Drexel gymnasium.

I'd love to describe the performance in depth, but words won't suffice inportraying just how incredible the experience was, so I'll just break down what happened chronologically.

He opened up with The Instrumental and it was awesome. He maintained that energy for the entire show. He ended up performing 14 songs from Food & Liquor and The Cool, he threw in his verses from the Everyone Nose Remix and Touch The Sky along with a rap over Day 'N' Nite and another beat that I can't recall. Lupe closed topless with Daydreamin' and the snippet from Shining Down.

He also said that the performance was the last from the tour that he has been on since October 07 and that the next time you see him it will be all new material with a new energy and new sound.

I also had the opportunity to meet Lupe and after exchanging a few words I got to know how nice he really is and that he truly is a down to earth person.

I know the review wasn't that great, but I truly cannot express in words how beautiful the performance was. I'd just like to thank Lupe for putting on a great show and meeting with fans after the show.
