As previously reported, director Chris Moore and Lupe Fiasco visited the George Washington University (GWU) campus to promote the film "The People Speak" yesterday.
In the video above, Chris Moore explains that the movie is made in part by sponsors prominent in Hollywood, many who wished to remain anonymous.
Lupe tells DC Community Examiner, Khadijah Ali-Coleman that he hopes that the movie encourages young people to take action and become activists.

After the jump you can see how students in the nation's capital and Lupe performed on a civics quiz asked by a Citizenship and Immigration Services officer.
lupe says he is not an obama supporter, but at last years halloween show i'm pretty sure i remember him telling everyone to vote for obama in the coming elections? does that make any sense?
ReplyDeleteYou do not have to be a supporter of Obama to tell people to vote for him. I feel that Lupe felt that Obama was a better canidate than McCain, so therefore vote for Obama. Supporter entails more than just voting for someone as well.
ReplyDeleteyeah i mean i guess there is more to being a supporter than saying vote for someone. but it just seemed weird at first that he sounded so intent on telling people to vote for obama at the concert, but then says he is not a supporter. oh well, it's pretty irrelevant anyway.
ReplyDeleteLupe got some of the answers right. That's so sexy.
ReplyDeleteonly real gripe i ever had about lupe was him supporting hillary over obama!?!!? and his bad, doesnt really watch/read the news, explanations...
ReplyDelete"him telling everyone to vote for obama in the coming elections?"
ReplyDeleteLol if lupe really said this... Because he would then be pretty much disagreeing with so many statements he has already made...
He didn't vote himself so I can't really see him encouraging people to vote for some candidate... and I doubt lupe would try to influence people in that way and become a part of the propaganda... but whatever...
Hip Hop Head got owned..
ReplyDeleteha alright, i wasn't trying to rip on lupe or anything, i was just slightly confused. didn't know it was grounds to get "owned" on. but whatever i really don't care
