in Johnson City, TN on Thursday, April 22nd. Haylee Bragg wrote a review of the concert for the EastTennessean...check a little excerpt of it below:
"While I accept Sparks performance as solid, the applause for the evening must be given to her opening acts. Going in, I knew relatively little about Lupe Fiasco and B.o.B.
I had heard a few of their mainstream hits and thought "Oh well, I'm sure it'll be a fun waste of a couple of hours." - I was wrong.
From my horrific assigned seat where I could barely even see the stage, I saw two men with genuine potential to reform and empower today's declining hip hop culture.
B.o.B and Fiasco delivered politically charged and realistic rhymes that instantly clicked with the listener..." - Click HERE to read the full review!

Wait, they had Lupe play fewer songs than the other two? Gay
ReplyDeleteyeah, i was at the show at ETSU. Lupe definitely wasn't feelin the crowd. They didn't have a lot of energy, and just weren't getting into it enough. It sucked he didn't perform Scream or Beautiful Lasers...but he still did his thing, and I was still spazzin out the whole time.. also i left before jordin sparks took the stage, as did a whole lot of other people lol
ReplyDeleteB.o.B was great, just wish I woulda heard more from Lupe
damn i was hoping that the tennesse crowd will be better but yet my state fails once again
ReplyDeleteEtsu is 2 hours away from me, but I chose to drive the extra 3 hours to go to the Charlotte show. Thank God. Sucks that he wasnt even the last performance.
ReplyDeleteI just saw this. Love it!
