Video: Lupe Fiasco & B.o.B play FIFA 15 against Manly Sea Eagles Jamie Buhrer & Steve Matai!

Two of music’s biggest icons Lupe Fiasco and B.o.B joined Manly’s Jamie Buhrer and Steve Matai as they went head-to-head in an intense FIFA 15 match up ahead of their show tonight with fellow music legend Nelly.

In Sydney as Nelly's supporting acts, the hip-hop pair managed to take a 1-0 lead courtesy of a cracking goal to Lupe Fiasco.

But the Sea Eagles boys showed their fighting spirit, clawing their way back from a goal down to claim a 1-1 draw.

The artists took a new found appreciation for Rugby League and the Sea Eagles' new 2015 range of New Era Caps and Basketball-styled '47 shirts from ISC. - Sea Eagles

B.o.B describes new album as "More Organic"

B.o.B's new album "Strange Clouds" drops on May 1st and in the May Issue of XXL Mag he talks about the album and how it's more organic than his debut.

By now, the origin story of B.o.B’s Billboard No. 1 song “Nothin’ on You” is part of industry lore: The Bruno Mars–led songwriting team The Smeezingtons created the track during writing sessions for Atlantic Records artists B.o.B, Travie McCoy and Lupe Fiasco; Fiasco and B.o.B both recorded versions of the record; Fiasco’s was deemed “wack,” in the alleged words of Atlantic co-chairman and CEO Craig Kallman, so B.o.B was bestowed with the smash. The whole thing revealed the assembly-line hitmaking process deployed at major record labels these days. (In an interesting twist, B.o.B once lost out on a big record of his own, having passed on Flo Rida’s club jam “Right Round.”)

B.o.B claims Strange Clouds’ second single, “So Good,” is the only song created in a similar manner to “Nothin’ on You,” and that the album is a bit more “organic.” It’s one of his favorite words. “I have a record called ‘Circles,’ which is like ‘Nothin’ on You’ but more organic,” he says. “This is how I’ll explain the whole project: It’s not about having a good song or a hit song, it’s about having songs that are organic. At least for me, that’s what it’s like. For me, this album is a lot more organic but just as good [as The Adventures of Bobby Ray]. Do you like burgers? Well, these burgers are organic and they taste better.”

Rakim praises B.o.B x Lupe Fiasco

Currently in the UK, Rakim spoke to The Guardian about the current state of Hip Hop, substance in the music, the future and more.

The conscious level is definitely low and the substance of the music is so much lighter, but you have to understand the game is young in new places. It's still growing.

We really need some of that consciousness, that fly on the wall that watches over us and comments. I like B.o.B and Lupe Fiasco a lot, they're both exploring the music, but I don't see a lot of artistry out there.

Lupe just dropped this gem via his twitter. An unfinished track feat. B.o.B from phase 2 of Lasers, produced by Lupe himself. Here's what Lupe said about it:

Who Are You Now from Phase 2 of LASERS. Was an early track for LASERS that got put on the backburner unfinished. I wanted Cee-Lo or Janelle on the 3rd!

Prod by Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B on Guitar & Matt Nelson on the boards. Oh and Graham Burris on BASS!!! Japanese Cartoon On The Check In.

For those who say I don't put out free music or question my love for my fans...take this as a peace offering or a STFU whatever fits you haha!

B.o.B talks Lupe Fiasco x Atlantic Records

In a recent interview Vibe asked B.o.B about Lupe's power struggle with Atlantic Records and if he can identify with this issue. Here's his answer:

"Definitely…it’s human nature. It’s not even about an artist versus label thing. You're always going to have some form of struggle when you're dealing with personal conflicts. But Lupe has had hit singles so it's not like he’s struggling in that sense. I think it’s all human nature."

B.o.B x Lupe Fiasco reflect on the artistry of Janelle Monáe

Over at AllHipHop.com Lupe and B.o.B reflect on the artistry of Janelle Monae.

AllHipHop.com: What do you admire the most about the music and/or character of Janelle Monáe?

B.o.B: What I admire most about Janelle Monáe's music is the sincerity and uniqueness that she brings to the music.

Lupe Fiasco: I admire Janelle Monáe's fearlessness more than anything. The bravery to do things right and with care but at the same time wrapped in style and grace is definitely lacking in today's popular culture and Janelle Monáe possesses it, this bravery, in abundance.

B.o.B stopped by Hot 93.7 to talk with Jenny Boom Boom about his album “The Adventures of Bobby Ray”, his upcoming projects, the BET Awards & he talked about the All City Chess Club and said “I just recorded something with all of them, there is a project a float.”

via Jenny's Blog

A project?...kinda sounds like more than just one track (or a remix) to me...on the other side, Lupe made it pretty clear that there won't be an album..but hey, maybe a mixtape or something like that...we'll see..don't get your hopes up.
