BBC 1Xtra radio presenter DJ Semtex talked to Lupe about the petition that was started two days ago regarding the release of Lupe's up and coming album Lasers.
He taught us to stand up for what we believe in, and to not let anyone take away from what we are passionate about... And that is all shining through, as we speak...
The journey to this album release is like none other!
@ ck47, Lupe worked with James Lavelle from the band U.N.K.L.E (which used to include DJ Shadow). Hello/Goodbye was originally and UNKLE song, and the line from Superstar "I'm too uncool (unkle) like shadow and lavelle" refers to the band
Sean is an Irish name, and in Gaelic it's pronounced "Shawn/Shon." The "s" in Gaelic is an "sh" in English. So it can't be pronounced with an 's' sound like "seen"
Now the tweets are making sense. Lupe tweeted "Building Minds Faster" and then asked Busy for that inst(rumental) "Blowin' Money Fast" is a new Rick Ross song and Busy said a few weeks ago that "the only artist Lu is talking about is Rick Ross" and a few days ago Busy tweeted that he was going to try to get young lu to do Friend of the People, and yesterday he said "we got brand new records that are fire!" that plus Prolyfic's little twitter tirade about lu not making any new RAP songs, and it all starts to come together....
No you fail. The name "Sean" has multiple spellings and pronounciations.
I know people whose name is Sean but their name is pronounced as Sheen/Seen.
The correct pronounciation is "Shawn" because of the irish, but some people have that same name and pronounce theirs as Sheen/Seen.
Hence the reason I didn't know sean pronounced his as shawn/shaun like mines because some people don't pronounce their name like that. Some pronounce their name as sheen/seen.
got this live!!!!
