I think the purpose of this track was to prove a point to Prolyfic that he shouldn't be focusing on making hits for the industry. Look how much more engaging his tracks are compared to this. He dumbed down his flow to show how he is on a different level. Hearing this flow from Lupe you immediately are thrown off because you expect more personality and more intricate rhyme schemes. You get a big realization of how much more talented he is than dudes who put out hits rapping like this. Lupe's not gonna make music like them. That's my take on the track. And like other's have said lyrics are still dope as always.

Prolyfic is what he said he is, a bitter fan. He sounds hella ignorant. Lupe has always gone left so why stop now? The world, and hip hop community especially, need an album like Lasers. How are you going to hate on a man for being different? And, trying to make a difference? Simple minded people like Prolyfic, and the heads of the music industry are what are holding Lupe back, not good music. He wants Lupe to make a hit, have you heard what are hits these days?

ReplyDeletethey just posted that yesterday after this petition it is something new. before this Lupe was saying it was coming soon that's old. now Atlantic is saying its coming soon after the petition and months of Lupe talking to them now that's new, and that's some good news to.

"nigga flow"? Come on. Lu is definately doing it on purpose. Just to show that you can switch flow but still keep the personality and positivity. That's exactly what "Swich - the science project" was all about.

ReplyDeleteAnd the only reason no one is feeling this Lupe flow is because Lupe did a HORRID job on it. He did not pull off the job. This is just a little rant from me, but god Lupe...if you can't replicate a flow...DON'T DO IT. That stuff is embarrassing. Lyrics aside, Lupe sounded a fool. The original BMF is way more entertaining than this. But that's not saying much since the OG was already raw.

I think the purpose of this track was to prove a point to Prolyfic that he shouldn't be focusing on making hits for the industry. Look how much more engaging his tracks are compared to this. He dumbed down his flow to show how he is on a different level. Hearing this flow from Lupe you immediately are thrown off because you expect more personality and more intricate rhyme schemes. You get a big realization of how much more talented he is than dudes who put out hits rapping like this. Lupe's not gonna make music like them. That's my take on the track. And like other's have said lyrics are still dope as always.
