The #1 Lupe Fiasco Fan of the Month: August 2010

There are many reasons that I consider myself Lu's number one fan. For one I'm probably the only guy who'll admit that I don't think I'm better than any of my #LASERS Family out there & that there are still some songs I don't fully know the lyrics to, but ever since I heard about Lupe Fiasco back in 2006 I've boarded the FNF Express with no intention of ever getting off.

I've put 3 of my ex's up on they Lupe game, made my mom love his music & she can't stand rap, I've put so many strangers up on this man, it's ridiculous, and I've gotten nearly all of my friends on board & told them they have to fuck with him & they did it. I've even went as far as telling some girls if they don't like listening to Lu we won't last because I use a lot of his songs for judgement & wisdom the same way I use the bible for life lessons.

Through what I call "art" & some call "his music" Lupe alone has made one of the biggest impacts on my life and even though I have many favorite artists, no other rapper could even dream of affecting a fan the way Lupe has affected me...I seriously have Lu-Retts haha.

Everything Lupe does from his music, to his interviews, and even to his unique style and genuine personality, I love and appreciate it...he gave me and many others Hope for the sake of Rap and the Hip-Hop Culture by showing that music doesn't have to consist of expensive jewelry, thousands of dollars worth of material things, fancy cars, bitches, blunts, & 40's.

But what he has showed me & many others is that having a plethora of knowledge and using it in your music is possible, REAL rap music doesn't have to be the trash you hear on the radio or see on tv, and that being famous doesn't mean you have to sell yourself short of your own talent & make songs like Waka Flocka & Soulja Boy.

I have been a major supporter of Lupe since I heard the Fahrenheit 1st & 15th mixtapes & I even got my boss to play "Put You On Game" over the announcements at the high school I work at to show kids that you can have a rap song with absolutely no profanity & it'll still go hard.

I recently just met Lu and I wasn't the least bit disappointed in his character. He was everything that I thought he would be and he is exactly who he portrays on Twitter in public & that made me respect him more as a man than a celebrity.
