Previously, we posted a verse that was speculated to be from Lupe's 2nd single. Now, NPR gets an exclusive look from producer Jerry "Wonda" Duplessis on the creation of "Never Forget You".
They break-down the different instruments and sounds of the beat, and the addition of the chorus by John Legend and verses from Lupe. They also reveal that "Never Forget You" will be the 2nd single off Lasers.

ReplyDeleteyea this song leaked and i listend to it haha but its not cdq quality but its a good song. I think hes rapping about chilly in the 1st verse his mom in the 2nd verse and his dad in the last verse. Its not really lyrical but has meaning and people can deffiently relate. Reminds me of the T.I song slideshow with john legend.

ReplyDeleteWe have heard damn near half the album if you count all the leaks and live performances horn synth, what you want, I'm beaming, shining down, beautiful lasers, wont forget you, scream, state run radio, show goes on, the song he previewed when he was talking about ali. That's frigging 10/11 ...... we haven't heard 1 song. Shit the cool went gold we have heard almost all the songs what major surprise of a song could be next.??

ReplyDeleteI didn't say it was going to be a bad song (it leaked, so if you haven't heard it, you should), or that the album was going to be bad... only that with this, we've heard half of the album. And so far, the album sounds meh...
You havent heard the songs in there in entirety and you havent heard the cdq either. There is deffinetly songs we have yet to hear, especially that songs in one of the inerviews he said its called Words I Never Said or w.e and he said its one of his favorite. I can wait for the album especially cant wait to hear the full version of beautiful lasers.
