And here it is, the highly anticipated, controversial 2nd single from Lu's third album, Lasers! As you're listening to the song, tweet #WordsINeverSaid and lets get it to trend! - Track via LupeFiasco.com
LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)LUPE YOU BE KILLIN 'EM (FAB VOICE)
Don't get me wrong, it's freakin fire. I love it and will buy it the second it's available for purchase, but I don't see this one doing very well on the charts. He sounds freakin angry, and that's the reason I like it, but I kinda wish they had put out the song with Trey Songz as the next single. From what I could hear on the crappy recording from his concert, that song sounds like it could be a hit.
Voila! A vivid and valid visual of the violent vermin that give such terror for the likes of the vacillant citizens. Their boast of vainglory has become visible, and now the vigilant viewers of the vast population show no vacuity of viability, unlike the vermin that violate their volition. Those in dark vesture shall set a blaze and radiate the vesper; thus the vestige of of a inevitable vengeance shall veer and become verified, vindicating the vertiginous verity of the final validation of victory!! (A)
Wow! We went from the label-manufactured TSGO to this hard-hitting and controversial track! I'm digging WINS, but am now left wondering how LASERS will be 'as a whole'...
i f*cking love it! I wish he didn't change the line from "building 7 wasn't touched, why'd you have to pull it?" to "...did they really pull it?" but it's all good. it's amazing!
if The Show Goes On didn't hit, then there's no way this will. but i don't think it's really meant for that. pretty good song though. i personally like it more when he's not as political but i still like the song
I understand that you shouldn't make music to appease the masses but the entire purpose of a single is to PROMOTE your album and the best way of doing that is to release the songs from your album that are most likely to appease the masses. It doesn't mean that you should go into the studio with a mindset to MAKE a hit record, but you should always put your best foot forward, and I'm kind of afraid that Lupe isn't doing that with this record.
But we'll see. I'm hoping humanity proves me wrong and makes this song a hit, as it deserves to be.
This is epic, but the mainstream probably won't accept it since the controversial statements he made in the song, but you know whatev.
It shouldn't surprise anyone that any American president hasn't made a move regarding Gaza, the Israeli lobby is really powerful.
I like how he really put his views into this one, but i don't really like the quasi-holier than thou stance on liquor. I'm going to wait to get berated for that comment.
Does this single not promote what the album stands for? The whole point of the LASERS manifesto? Regardless of whether it's a hit or not, it's promoting what the album is about. The people who have never heard of Lupe, when they hear this and if they like it and know what he's getting at, they'll buy LASERS (or at least bootleg and tell their friends about it).
Love it. Everything I expected plus more.. That shit gives me chill.. I wish Lupe would just give his singles out like everyone else, but I understand why he doesnt.. WILL Someone PLEASE upload this to youtube so I can rip the MP3 IM DEF BUYING MULTIPLE COPIES OF THE ALBUM!!!
lupe will never let me down another dope song. 4 listens and mann its good. I keep refreshing my itunes so i can buy it and take it to work manana. but we have sirius in the pharmacy so maybe hopefully itll get a spin
"IMO W.I.N.S. is a poor mans American Terrorist. He covered more topics in American Terrorist, the beat was better, hook was better, flow was better"
No doubt. Don't get me wrong, this new single is nice and I need to give it time to grow, but I know I won't be listening to it 5 years from now. I'll still be listening to F&L 10 years from now.
Thanks, Jake, but I am not the sole victor. As long as you and every one else stand up and act towards the freedom of the people, then we all win. Love W.I.N.S.
Who cares if it doesn't sell? He tried with tsgo and it didn't work so fuck it. Plus, didn't he say All Black Everything is coming out too late in February?
I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bull shit. just a poor excuse to use up all your bullets. how much money does it take really make a full clip? 9/11 building 7, did they really pull it? hoh. uh and a bunch of other cover ups. youre childs future was the 1st to come with budget cuts. if you think that hurt wait here comes the uppercut. the school was garbage in the 1st place. that’s on the up and up. keep you at the bottom but tease you with the upper crush. you get it then they move it so you never keeping up enough. if you turn on tv, all you sees a bunch of wtfs. dude is dating so and so, blabbering bout such and such. and that aint jersey shore, homie that’s the news. and these the same people supposed to be telling us the truth. limbaugh is a racist. glen beck is a racist. gaza strip was getting bombed, obama didn’t say shit. that’s why I aint vote for him, next 1 either. im apart of the problem. my problem is im preaceful. and I believe in the people.
now we could say it aint our fault if we never heard it. but if we know better than we probably deserve it. jihad is not holy war. wheres that in the worship? murdering is not islam and you are not observant. and you are not a muslim. isreal don’t take my side cause look how far youve pushed them. walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the kush went. complain about the liquor store, but what you drinking liquor for? complain about the throom(?) but wouldnt you pick a broom up? just listening to pac aint gunna make it stop. a rebel in your thoughts aint gunna make it halt. if you don’t become an actor, you'll never be a factor. pills with million side effects. take em when the pains felt. wash em down with diet soda, killin off your brain cells. crooked banks around the world would gladly give a loan today so if you ever miss a payment they can take your home away.
uh I think that all the silence is worse than all the violence. fear is such a week emotion, that’s why I despise it. we scared of almost everything. afraid to even tell the truth. so scared of what you think of me. im scared of even telling you. sometimes im like the only person I feel safe to tell it to. im locked inside a cell in me. I know that theres a jail in you. consider this your bailing out. so take a breath inhale a few. my screams is finally getting free. my thoughts is finally yelling thuh(?)
This song is raw as in fuck messing around and putting my message in intricate metaphors I'm just putting it right in the worlds face, take it or leave it. It's such a powerful song like the last verse just makes it amazing. Idgaf if the albums not lyrical as shit that's what FOTP & F&II is for. This cd is to be spread to the masses and spark the minds of the ones that listen. I can not wait till March 8th.
I don't like the beat but Lupe didn't make it so w/e. It's really weird with these new Lupe songs and how its his lyrics in the verses over these corporate made beats and hooks. They don't match up as well as the songs on F&L and The Cool did.
Make sure every1 supports him n BUYS the track when its live on itunes. If u want him to be in the mainstream light we gota support him so the he's not underated as evry1 says
January >> february >> march This order sucks January >> march >> the others month ...... This will be better
No seriously i'm a french fan i that The people who thought that L.A.S.E.R.S will not be lyrical must be apologize to Lupe Fiasco because this single Killed the Tha Carter trilogy in one verse
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!! NO LIE, THIS SONG MAKES ME WANNA CRY FOR SOME REASON,I THINK ITS BECAUSE WE REALLY GOT A RAPPER STANDING UP FOR SOMETHING REAL AND IS NOT SCARED TO DO IT. BLESS LUPE.
"obama didn’t say shit. that’s why I aint vote for him"
As the concert occurred only hours after the first presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama, Fiasco had no trouble conveniently making a few comments about this year’s election.
“A vote for Barack is a vote for the future, a vote for McCain is a vote for the past,” said Fiasco. He added, “Ladies and gentlemen, the most important vote is the vote for yourselves.” At this point, Lupe’s sunglasses came off and the performance became a bit more personal.
i think this song has more potential to be a hit simply because of shock value, and ask Kanye that sells. Not to mention, TSGO just felt so manufactured for masses that it was kinda fake, this is really Lupe and i think more people can appreciate that
No download or buy? ....sigh....
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHH SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!

ReplyDelete@Suge: Hook is better on W.I.N.S - other than that I agree w/ you. Can't imagine this blowing up as a single. Still, it's a dope song.
Epic record for Lupe...

ReplyDeleteLupe supported Hillary Clinton and backed Obama when she lost. His statement is true in the sense that he really wanted Clinton and not Obama to win.
^ could he have been referring to supporting obama during the mid-term elections?
ReplyDelete
